Abstract
A central support 1 of the assembly allows a coupling 6, locking it in a central axle 5, in a way that, when rotating it around its center, the frontal part of the coupling 6 is locking the hook 22 of the arm 21 in its sides with the assistance of the ribs 7 and saliencies 9 existing at the internal sides of the support 1. To unlock the hook 22 from the arm 21, the coupling is rotated in relation to its center in order that the side of the coupling device 6 reaches the internal side of the central support 1, and this region, which is provided with a depression 10, allows the coupling 6 to have an opening enough to release the hook 22. Alternatively, the support may use lids 25 in one of its extremities.
Description
I
"DISPOSITION INTRODUCED IN CENTRAL SUPPORT TO WINDSCREEN WIPERS" The present model reveals a disposition introduced in central hook type support for windscreen wipers of cars and vehicles in general, with the purpose of fixing the cleaning rubber with the arms using the hook system for coupling.
The central support of the present model allows the use of several types of hook type coupling, among which the object of the patent number P408001932-3, locking it in the central axle, in a way that, when turning it around its center, the frontal part of the coupling is locking the hook in its sides with the assistance of the ribs existing in the internal side of the support.
To unlock the hook from the adapter, just turn the coupling device in relation to its center in order that the side of the adapter reaches the internal side of the central support, and this region, which is provided with a depression, allows the adapter to have an opening enough to release the hook.
Alternatively, the support may or may not use lids in one of its extremities.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
Several locking systems and central supports for use in windscreen wipers are known by the current state of technology.
Several coupling elements are known, in several ways, designed to allow fixing the wiper blade components and the set of operation arm of the cleaning system.
In spite of the standardization of the central support, allowing its utilization in several cleaner models, it is common that the amount of components and of couplings necessary to compose the set of the wiper blade make the handling of the components and the perfect coupling more difficult.
Especially in the cases in which the locking between the wiper blade and the arm uses the system known by the state of technology as "hook-type" (hook type fixation), there is not a harmony between the components, and the fixation between the arm and the wiper blade is apparent.
PURPOSE OF THE PRESENT MODEL
The purpose is to solve the inconveniences of the current technique, the present model reveals a disposition introduced in hook type central support, which has simple and efficient locking means between parts of the central support with the standard coupling, which can be used in windscreen wipers of the front and of the rear side, uniting harmonically the arm and the wiper blade.
The central support is responsible for the locking of the support base, coupling and arm.
For a matter of finishing, the support may or may not use a lid in one of its extremities, favoring the aesthetic and harmony of the set.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DESIGNS P.ND MODEL
Figures 1 to 4 reveal respectively top, bottom and side views in perspective of the central support in the present model. Figure 5 is a view in longitudinal section of the central support.
We can observe that the present model includes a central support (1), composed by a frontal wall (2) and with a posterior wall (3), united through ramps (4) inclined in relation to the horizontal plan of the central support (1) that act to allocate the body of the wiper blade, and through a pin (5) with cylindrical format, which acts as rotating axle for a coupling (6).
The internal faces of the walls (2,3) are provided with a vertical rib (7), of paving block format, and their superior edge has a bevel (8) configuring a ramp. This rib (7) extends horizontally in an inferior position to the bevel (8), forming a shoulder (9), which extends towards the center of the central support (1), configuring, therefore, a channel (10) of paving block format, like a depression.
Close to the side end of the central support (1), the internal faces of the walls (2,3) have cylindrical pins (11), which extend internally to the central support (1), configuring fitting pins.
In the inferior portion, the central support (1) has seats (12) in "Ii" format, configuring a channel (13) of rectangular format that receives the vertebra (14) of the wiper blade. At the inferior end of the inclined ramps (4) there are rectangular saliencies (15) that act as superior support to the vertebra (14).
The side ends of the central support (1) have conic channels (16) with rounded edges, which receive the edges of the deflectors (17) of the wiper blade, which are seated under the inclined ramps (4).
Figure 6 is a view in perspective showing the assembly position of the coupling (6) in the central support (1).
The coupling (6) has a circular hole (18), which communicates with the reception channel (19), with smaller dimension than the diameter of the hole (18). The internal diameter of the hole (18) in the coupling (6) is equivalent to the external diameter of the pin (5) of the central support (1).
Said reception channel (19) is positioned over the pin (5) of the central support (1) and the coupling (6) is pressed against the central support (1), and the pin (5) overcomes the resistance offered by the channel (19) and it gets lodged inside the hole (18), thus the coupling (6) pivoting around the central support (1).
Figure 7 reveals in perspective the coupling (6) and central support (1) connected.
Figure 8 reveals the fitting of the base (20) of the support (1) and of the vertebra (14) of the wiper blade.
Figure 9 reveals in perspective the complete central support (1), with base (20), vertebra (14), deflectors (17), coupling (6), and arm (21) connected.
Figure 10 is a view in longitudinal section of the complete central support (1), with base (20), vertebra (14), coupling (6), and arm (21) connected.
Figures 11 to 15 reveal in perspective the sequence of the arm assembly (21) in the coupling (6) fitted in the central support (1), until the operation position of the set, shown in Figure 15.
The hook (22) of the arm (21) is introduced over the coupling (6) and then displaced in the direction of movement that allows the lodging of the coupling (6) inside this hook (22) of the arm (21), until the total fitting of the hook (22), which overcomes the locking ribs (23).
For the fitting of the hook (22) of the arm (21), the central support (1) with the wiper blade is turned at an angle of about -5 to -10 degrees in relation to the coupling angle (6) In the operation position of the set, the central support (1) is positioned from 0 to 10 degrees in relation to the coupling angle (6), position that ensures the arm locking (21) in the central support (1).
Figure 16 is a top view of the arm (21) assembled in the coupling (6) and central support (1).
The coupling (6) has its extremities free (24) with locking ribs (23), and when the arm (21), in relation of the central support Cl), is in operation position, the side ribs (7) and the saliencies (9) prevent the (side) opening of the free extremities (24) of the coupling (6), not allowing the arm (21) to disengage from the coupling (6). When the arm (21) is in the assembly position (according to fig. 17), we can observe that the channels (10) between the ribs (7) allow the side opening of the free extremities (24) or the coupling walls (6), allowing its locking ribs (23) to perform an opening movement for the entrance of the hook (22).
Figures 18 to 23 show the assembly of a lid (25) that can be used, alternatively, in the central support (1).
The central support (1) of the present model can use, alternatively, a pivoting lid (25), around the cylindrical pins (11) of the internal walls (2,3). This lid (25) has two claws (26) configuring circular sectors, of internal diameter equivalent of the diameter of the pins (11), also having inferior openings (27) through which this lid (25) is coupled to the pins (11) through interference, until these pins (11) overcome the claws' resistance (26) and get lodged inside it.
In the free extremity, this lid has locks (28) with rectangular profile. Once the lid (25) is fitted in the pins (11), this lid (25) is rotated until the locks (28) encounter the bevels (8) of the central support (1) that configure directed ramps, to facilitate the lid's fitting (25) and the lid locking (25) in the central support (1) is made through the locking ribs (7). This position is shown in Figure 22.
In order to allow the assembly of the hook (21) in the coupling (6) of the central support (1), the lid (25) performs the rotating movement in the opposite direction of its locking.
Figure 24 is a detail in perspective of the lid (25) assembled in the central support (1), with the locking ribs (7) of the lid (25) in this support (1) An enlarged detail of the cylindrical pins (11) responsible for locking the lid (25) in the central support (1) is shown in Figure 25.
Figures 26 to 28 show the complete assembly of the central support (1) with the lid (25) assembled.
It is important to stress that the lid (25) does not interfere in the hook's (22) assembly of the arm (21) in the coupling (6), once that the lid (25) is rotated, as shown in Figure 26.
Once the Lid (25) is assembled and locked in the operation position, it has a space (29) for the hook (22), to avoid interfering in the rotation movement of the coupling (6).
So, the central support (1) has a simple and efficient system to lock the coupling (6), and it may be used for the assembly of the wiper blade in frontal and rear windscreen WIPERS, uniting the arm (21), and the hook (22) with the wiper blade harmonically.
The central support (1) is responsible for the fitting of the base (20) of the central support (1), coupling (6) and arm (21), forming, therefore, the wiper blade. %0
