Abstract

A disposable pad D may be attached to footwear for use with a motorcycle. The pad protects the footwear from wear when changing gear. The pad may be attached via adhesive. The pad may have an adhesive backing that is exposed by removing a tear off strip. Two pads may be provided, separated by perforations (figure 1 not shown), facilitating an out and return type journey with one pad being discarded after the first leg. The pad may be provided in a clear or opaque material.

Description

FOOTWEAR PROTECTION SYSTEM
This invention relates to a disposable device for the protection of ones everyday footwear when riding a motor cycle.
The device is a thin rubbery pad stuck to ones footwear when not wearing motorcycle boots or shoes.
The pad is stuck to the part of the footwear that comes into direct contact with the gear change lever, thus preventing any scratches or abrasions to the footwear.
The pad is stuck by means of a peel off back revealing adhesive coating; the device comes as a pair to be torn in half by means of a perforated line running down the centre of the two halves. This enables the wearer to use one half of the pair for the journey to their destination where it is disposed of allowing the user to go about their everyday activities in appropriate foot wear. The other half of the pair is to be used for the return journey where it is also discarded appropriately.
The device should fit neatly into ones wallet or purse thereby enabling convenient anytime use of the pad. T2

Claims (9)

  1. This invention relates to a devise for the protection of ones everyday footwear when riding a motorcycle I. A protective pad stuck to ones footwear that is used to change gear
  2. 2. A protective pad stuck to ones footwear according to claim 1 that should be just large enough to cover area of footwear to come into contact with gear lever
  3. 3. A protective pad according to claim 2 which is flexible to follow the contours of ones footwear
  4. 4. A protective pad according to claim 3 which is attached by means of a sticky back
  5. 5. A protective pad according to claim 4 where the back is revealed by a peel off strip
  6. 6. A protective pad according to claim 5 that comes as a pair for journeys to and from ones destination
  7. 7. A protective pad according to claim 6 the pair are separated by means of a perforation through the middle of the pair
  8. 8. A protective pad according to claim 7 which can be clear or opaque so as to go Un-* noticed
  9. 9. A protective pad according to claim 8 that may be discarded at journeys end or not dependant on users discretion
