Abstract

A toy ghost, which gives the impression that it is floating comprises a illuminated ball <B>3</B> on a stick <B>4</B>, the ball <B>3</B> being covered by a piece of fabric <B>1</B> The stick <B>4</B> may be hollow to allow wires from a battery 4a to connect to an LED in the ball <B>3</B>. The ball <B>3</B> may contain more than one LED to light up the ghost. The toy may have its own sleeve for storage.

Background
Toy ghost are usually made from plastic, have no moving parts, and are more ornamental than toy.
Statement of Invention
This invention is a toy ghost, operated by a control rod fixed to an illuminated ball, which is attached to the fabric sheet of the ghost. The led is powered by battery in the control rod. When the rod is held, it gives the impression that the ghost is flying.
Advantages The illuminated ball makes the ghost glow in the dark.
The simple design makes it easy for all ages to operate.
Preferably the toy would have its own sleeve for easy storage.
Preferably the fabric would be non crease, Preferably the fabric would be non flammable Preferably the fabric would be semi translucent.

An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the circular piece of fabric with segments marked out for cutting.
Figure 2 shows the circular piece of fabric with segments cut Out and removed.
Figure 3 shows the illuminated ball attached to the hollow control rod Figure 4 shows the illuminated ball and control rod sewn into fabric.
Figure 5 shows the fabric folded over the illuminated ball, and control rod.
Figure 6 shows toy wrapped up ready to store in its sleeve A circular piece of fabric (I) with arch shaped segments cut out around the edge of the fabric (2), the fabric is attached to an illuminated ball (3). The illuminated ball is tixed to the hollow control rod (4), the ball is illwninated by a led light inside. The hollow control rod (4) carries the wires to the battery and on/off switch (4a), also on the control rod (4). The ball (3) and control rod (4) are sewn into the fabric (1), so the ball (3) is central to the fabric (1). The fabric (1) is folded over the ball (3) and control rod (4).
When the control rod (4) is held in one hand, the rod is not visible, and the other hand is used the hold Onto the fabric tail (Ia), this gives the impression of a ghost flying.
When not in use the fabric can be wrapped around the control rod, and can be tucked into back pocket, or into its sleeve for storage.

  1. Claims Toy Ghost I A toy ghost which when operated gives the impression
    that it is flying.
  2. 2 A toy ghost which is illuminated by a led light within a plastic ball.
  3. 3 A toy ghost which is operated by a control rod fixed to the plastic ball.
  4. 4 A toy ghost which is powered by a battery, held within the control rod to illuminate the led within the plastic ball.
