Abstract

A multi diameter, multi cable clip is made out of a springy flexible material. The clip allows for cables 1 to be inserted into, and retracted from, gripping jaws (4, fig 4). The weight of a base (5, fig 5) of the clip, which has a non-slip surface to the underside, holds the clip on a required surface 3.

Description

Cable clip This invention relates to a multi diameter cable clip.
If you put a connection lead or cable (such as a mobile phone lead) on a cabinet, windowsill or other raised surface the weight of the lead can drag it to the floor.
To overcome this, the present invention proposes a multi diameter cable clip (the present invention can also hold more than one cable) made out of a springy or rubbery material ( possibly madeasoneunt)sothatthecableisinseitedandgiippedwitheasestaying stationary on the required surface by the weight of the invention being greater than the drag of the cable also assisted by a gripping rubbery base.
The connection cable or lead is gripped and remains stationary on the required surface to stop the cable being dragged to the floor. The cable clip can also be removed without causing damage to surfaces and for ease of cleaning.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with references to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a cable I likely to be dragged off a cabinet 3 onto the floor by the drag force 2.
Figure 2 shows an alternative multi diameter cable clip unit where a connection lead I is inserted and gripped by flexible jaws 4 staying stationary on a required surface by means of a rubbery edged base 5 and dense weight 7.
Figures 3,4 and 5 showsjaws 4 with guiding angles 6 and base 5.
Figures 6,7 and 8 shows an alternative shape with the above view, front view and side view with guiding angles 6, jaws 4 and base 5.
Figures 9, 10 and 11 shows an alternative with the front view, above view and side view with guiding edges 6, base 5 and jaws 4.
Figures 12, 13 and 14 shows an alternative with cable I inserted showing the angle view, front view and above view of an alternative with cable 1 drag force 2, cabinet 3,jaws4, base 5 and jaw supports 7.
Figures 14-26 shows alternative designs and shaped bases together with insertion edges 6,jaws 4 and base 5.
A rubbery or springy material multi size cable clip is stabilized on a surface 3 by means of the weight of the unit, insertion and grip of different sized cables I is made possible because of the flexible springy material useL It can possibly be made as one unit.

Claims (1)

  1. Claims I. A springy multi diameter cable clip that holds one or more
    connection lead s or cables and stops it from being dragged to the floor by gripping the cable together with the weight of a non-slip rubbery base.
    2. A springy multi diameter cable clip according to claim 1 that has ease of insertion, grip and retraction by means of flexibility.
    4. A springy multi diameter cable clip according to claim 1 that has differently sized and shaped bases.
