Abstract

The soccer practice goal comprises a goal structure having one horizontal pole 7 supported by two uprights 2, (14) and net 3. Attached to the back of the goal there is a sloping structure 1 which allows a ball to be returned when kicked up the slope 1. The slope 1 may have a ramp 8 running up each side of the slope 1 to prevent the ball falling off the sides. There may also be a hoop 10 to kick the ball into. The sloping part of the goal allows for ball control practice and the net is for goal-keeping and shooting practice.

Description

Soccer Training Control & Goal The Control Goal is a dual soccer
training frame, which combines a control pass slope and soccer goals for soccer control skills & shooting practice.
Poor quality of soccer control skills & areas to practice these soccer skills.
The Control slope & goal is designed to enhance soccer player's skills. Allowing the player to practice many different soccer skills, therefore improving their skills.
The soccer goal frame would be used as a goal for soccer shooting & scoring. The frame would consist of a raised horizontal bar. A left post and right post would be below each end of the horizontal bar. At the back of the each post a net would be attached stretching to the underside of the control pass slope.
The control pass slope angles down from the back of the raised horizontal bar. The slope curves approximately in the middle, gradualiy sloping to ground level.
This allows the player(s) to pass the ball onto & up the slope. Naturally the ball will return down the slope, to the player where they will use their skills to control the ball.
The control slope has ramps on the left and right side of the gradual slope. When the player successful ly passes the ball up & onto the top of the ramp. The ball will naturally return and speed down the ramp presenting the player a challenge to control the ball.
Also on the control slope are slots for removable screw-in pass posts 15 which can be used as guides or obstacles in advanced passing techniques. On the top of the control slope is a backboard, for the ball to rebound back down the slope to the player. On the left and right side of the control slope are sideboards, for the ball to rebound & stay on the control slope.
At the top of the control pass wall is a goal hoop. The player, using their control skills can aim to kick the ball into the goal hoop.
The section at the bottom of the control slope is the Ball Contact Point'. The player should aim to pass/kick the ball at this section, to allow the ball to roll up the slope.
The Pass Line' on the control slope gives the player an indication of the strength & accuracy of the pass.
The control goal will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a left side & view of the Control slope & ramps.
Figure 2 shows a view of the control slope Figure 3 shows a left side view of the control slope Figure 4 shows the soccer goal In figure 1 The control slope I angles down from the horizontal bar 7 then curves out gradually sloping to ground level. Allowing player(s) from position 9 to kick ball up onto & return back to the player(s) 9. Below the horizontal bar 7 is the left goal post 2. Attached behind the left goal post is the net 3, which is stretched to the underside of the control slope 1. The ball contact point 4 is the lowest level where the ball contacts the slope, allowing the ball to roll on and up the control slope 1. The sideboards 5 & backboard 6 rebound the ball and keep the ball on the control slope!. On the control slope 1 there are left & right ramps 8 where the ball can run down & off the slope towards the player 9. Also on the control slope are removable screw-in pass posts 15 which can be used as guides or obstacles. The goal hoop 10 is positioned at the top of the control slope I where the player 9 can aim to kickilob the ball to display control & accuracy.
In figure 2 the control slope 1 is head-on as a player would face the control slope standing at position 9. The ball contact point 4 is the lowest level where the ball contacts the slope, allowing the ball to roll on and up the control slope 1. The sideboards 5 & backboard 6 rebound the ball and keep the ball upon the control slope 1. Onthe controlslope 1 there are left& rightramps 8 where theball canrun down& off the slope towards the player 9. The pass line 11 gives the player an indication on the strength & accuracy of the pass. The arrows 12 indicate the direction of the ball. A correctly hit angled pass would allow the ball to roll past the pass line 11 and roll down the ramps 8, where the player can control the ball. On the control slope I and part of the ramp 8, there is a left and right 13 rail. The rails 13 prevent the ball from rolling onto or off the ramp.
In figure 3 the control slope 1 sloping curved angle is shown. Attached behind the left goal post 2 is the net 3, which is stretched to the underside of the control slope!. The right goal post & net (not shown) would be exactly opposite the left post 2. The sideboards 5 & backboard 6 rebound the ball and keep the ball on the control slope 1.
On the control slope I left ramp 8 where the ball can run down & off the slope towards the player. The right ramp (not shown) would be exactly opposite the left ramp 8. The goal hoop 10 is positioned at the top of the control slope I where the player can aim to kick/lob the ball to display control & accuracy.
In figure 4 the horizontal bar 7 is shown. At a goal keeper's perspective, below the horizontalbar7istheleftgoalpost2&therightgoalpost14.meb&7&0po5 2,14 connected make the frame of soccer goal.
