Abstract

Spectacles comprise sidearms, the ends of which may rest in the upper anterior part of the ear pinna. The sidearm may comprise a mould at the end for fitting to the ear; it may be clipped to the ear; it may rest in the ear; it may have a connection which will sit in the cartilage of the inner ear; it may be one piece which folds around the temporal part of the head with the end folded to hold a connecting piece. Such spectacles may be comfortable to wear and prevent slipping.

Description

SPECTACLE DESIGN
BACKGROUND
This invention relates to a device that prevents the slippage of spectacles.
When people wear spectacles they consistently slip and people need to have ongoing adjustments to prevent this happening.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
To overcome this, this inventionproposes a pair of spectacles made in a way that prevents them slipping off.
This is a achieved by clipping the end of an sidearm of a pair of spectacles in the inner anterior top part of the ear tissue, tucking away neatly behind where the top cartilage part of the ear folds out. Not by the existing design which is where the sidearm of the spectacles folds around the around the ear and tucks down behind the ear.
ADVANTAGES
The resting of the spectacles in the inner ear will ensure none slipping of the spectacles and will add great comfort in wearing them.
The end of the sidearm of the spectacles will have a connection which will sit neatly in the inner ear. (Location-in the ear at the anterior top part, just behind where the top cartilage part of the ear folds out.) Therefore not as uncomfortable and prone to slipping as the existing design of spectacles, where the sidearm goes around the outside of the ear. With this design we are totally limiting the amount spectacles can slip, but also increasing the amount of comfort the wearer may experience.
!TAJLED DESCRIPTION
In figure I, this is a side profile of a simple reference to the existing design of spectacles In figure 2, this is a side profile of a direct comparison of how we propose to change the existing design by preventing slippage and adding comfort of wearing spectacles.
In figure 3, this is a plan view of the proposed invention.
In figure 4, this is a 2D view of the proposed invention.
In figure 5, this shows how the proposed invention neatly is fitted in the ear.
The sidearm of the spectacles is one piece which folds around the temporal part of the head with the end is neatly folded to hold a connecting piece. This connecting piece rests neatly in the inner upper anterior part of the ears, behind the cartilage fold of the ears.
This dentition in the ear will hold the connecting piece with little discomfort. This will allow the spectacles to be held in position, preventing movement which in turn will hugely reduce the slippage of spectacles.

Claims (3)

  1. I. The spectacles end of a sidearm sit comfortably in the ear of the upper anterior part of the ear, just neatly tucked into the ear behind the cartilage tissue that folds Out.
  2. 2. The end of the sidearm will have a simple mould which allows the connection to be made in wearing the spectacles that neatly sit in the ear.
  3. 3. This will allow the spectacles to be positioned as explained in I. Preventing the slipping of spectacles but also adding comfort compared to the existing design.
