Description

I of 1 Backpack containjn Loa Book attached to Soft The purpose of the
product is to record a journey of life' in the form of log books. These books are held in a backpack which in turn is attached to a soft toy in the form of a companion. While the individual components are not unique, I believe the combination is, and the idea worthy of protection as it is new, inventive and has novelty value.
The product is by nature appealing to children but the journey of life' has scope for anyone who wants to record anything from the birth of a child, to a sporting event, holidays, or general day to day experiences Diaries are time consuming and restrictive to those who do not wish to commit to completing them on a daily basis. The loose leaf pages of the log book allow it to be custom ised, and used for any time frame, typically I day to 1 year. Pre printed pages for written, photo and scrap book entries allow the log book to be created by the individual to their requirements. By housing the log book in a backpack, attached to a soft toy, there is a sense of having a companion to share your experiences with. The stoiy books that go with the product show the various experiences of the character, the aim being to promote the benefits of gathering experience through travel and life in general. The packaging box for the product converts to a book case to store the log books and build a record of their life experiences.
The website has various features to complement the product i.e. colouring sheets, competitions, educational facts. A unique feature being the registration of an ID card that comes with the product, so that the backpack and bear can be returned to the owner if lost, by the person who finds it returning it via freepost to the company, who will then inform the owner.
I know of no other product on the market that has the same function or uses the components in the same way.
