Abstract

A self adhering diffuser element for attaching to a camera flash 2 is disclosed. The diffuser may comprise disposable/replaceable tacky glue strips 3 on one side. The diffuser may also comprise a piece of flexible diffusion material 6 that covers the glue to protect the glue when not in use and which folds away from the glue to form a larger diffusing surface area when in use. A strap 4 may be provided to attach the diffuser to the camera.

Background
When flash is used on compact cameras the light is harsh and over exposed when shot close to the subject, such as a to /z portrait shot. This can mean that in the photographs people look over exposed and skin looks harsh and unflattenng.
Statement of invention
This invention relates to a diffusing flash attachment. Which deals with the over exposed harsh light that is produced from the flash of a compact camera.
To overcome this, the present invention proposes a self adheringdiffuser, the diffuser being made of a semi opaque, neutral coloured material uniquely shaped, the diffuser is attached to the flash using disposabl&replaceable glue strips.
Advantages -The self adhering diffuser will make the harsh over exposed light into a soft and flattering light that's not over exposed and improves the quality of the photograph.
Preferably doubling or tripling the surface area of the light source.
Preferably the diffuser will be of neutral density so the image is not affected by a colour cast.
Preferably attached to the camera via a strap. (Fig.1) Preferably the diffuser adheres to the flash with disposable/replaceable glue strips.

Detailed description
A small rectangle of diffusion material (1) designed with neutral color, to go over the camera flash (2). This cuts down and diffuses the light.
One side has disposable/replaceable glue strips (3), the other side is a bigger, thinner diffusion material (6) which doubles as protection for the glue strips (3) while not on the camera flash.
While on the camera it doubles the surface area gMng a better light source, attached to the camera via a strap (4) that fits through hole in diffuser (5).

Claims (4)

The Claim.
1 A self adhering diffuser that attaches to the flash of any point and shoot camera on the markeL
2 A self adhering diffuser according to daim 1, which has a tacky glue on one side.
3 A self adhering diffuser according to claim 2, which has disposable/replaceable tacky glue strips on one side.
4 A self adhering diffuser according to daim 3, which has attached a peace of flexible diffusion material that covers the glue top it when not in use as well as create a greater surface area for the light source when in use.
A self adhering diffuser according to daim 4, which is attached to the camera via a -strap.
Abstract Flash attachment A self adhering diffuser includes deposable/replaceable glue strips 3 which are attached to a peace of diffusion material 1. The diffusion material may havea flexible diffusion material attached, which covers the glue. The diffusion material may be attached to the camera by a strap.
