Abstract

A hand-held block holds drill bits in position when using a hand-held drill. It preferably contains six holes of the most common drill bit sizes. The block is held by the user who inserts the drill bit into the appropriate hole in the position the user wishes to drill into the surface. The block may be divided into six sections, one for each hole, for individual use if the workspace is limited (see figure 2). A spirit level may be incorporated into the block to facilitate level drilling of holes. Preferably the block is provided with a rubber backing.

Description

I
DRILL EIA
This invention Is a device which holds a drill bit,in a hand held drill,in exact position during the drilling process on any surface.
It prevents the drill bit from slipping out of position and possibly damaging the surface. It obviates the need for the use of sticky tape and pilot holes.
Figure 1 shows the main block containing the six drill bit holes of different sizes.
FIgure 2 shows how the block is in six sections held together by "nibsTM to form the main block.ESCh section could be detached as required.
Figure 3 shows the main block fitted with a spirit level in the top centre.
The device is a block in which there are six holes of the most common drill sizes.(See figure 1) Theblock measures lOcms x 5cms x 2cms. It ismadeof hard plaslicwtharUbberba gsothatitcafl beheldtlrmly in the desired position by the user.
The block may be divided into smaller blocks (one for each hole) so indMdual blocks could be used If the working space Is limited. (See figure 2) A small spirit level Incorporated Into the main block would ensure that two or more drllllngs are level. (See fIgure 3)

Claims (3)

  1. DRILL -CLAIMS
I A handheld block which holds drill bits in precise position when using a handhold drill.
  2. 2 A block according to claim I which is divided into smaller blocks so individual blocks could be used it worldng space is limited.
  3. 3 A block according to claim I into which is incorporated a spirit level to ensure two drillings or more are level if this is required.
