Description

TITLE
Vacuum cleaner filter mounting
DESCRIPTION
The invention deals with dust vacuum cleaners, mainly filters for dust vacuum cleaners.
especially such mounting of removable filters iii the vacuum cleaner body where the structure of this mounting facilitates removal and insertion of these filters.
At present more ways or structures are known that arc used for mounting of filters in the vacuum cleaner body. Generally, in the vacuum cleaner body there is a space where anchoring points, places, grooves or recesses arc prepared where a removable filter is installed, either a replaceable one for a single use or a washable one for repeated use. Such a mounting space is generally closed with a removable or hinged lid. If the access opening for the removal of the filter should enable comfortable handling, then such an opening is relatively large, which weakens the structure of the vacuum cleaner body at the sanie time. It is true that the structure can be reinforced through a modification with a relatively high threshold of the basic body or box of the vacuum cleaner at the filter mounting side, hut increasing such a threshold reduces the comfort of handling of the filter as its access and handling opening gets smaller and the position of the lid of such an opening gets higher. Besides, structural extension of the access and handling opening at the same time increases the size of this opening, which brings about problems with its rigidity and hinging, balance or locking, where solutions of possible low rigidity result in unfavourable increasing of weight or in the case of hinges and locks these mechanisms must be strongly dimensioned, which, however, also increases to total weight of the vacuum cleaner and its price.
An aim of the present invention, or at least of specific embodiments of it, is to provide a vacuum cleaner with a relatively high rigidity of the body, with a lifted threshold and at the same time with maintained easy handling of the removable filter.
In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a vacuum cleaner with a variable mounting of the filter in the mounting structure of the 1111cr, where the devices of the vacuum cleaner are installed in the vacuum cleaner body, where there is a space for the filter designed as a removable filter as well, and where the threshold of the access opening of the removable filter space is at the height corresponding to 20 to 50% of the height of the vacuum cleaner in the working position while the removable filter is mounted between the separating suctioning wall of the vacuum cleaner and this threshold and where the access opening of the space of the removable filter is closed with a turning lid that is part of the vacuum cleaner body and where the principle is that the vacuum cleaner contains a sliding and/or turning mounting structure of the removable filter and this structure is installed in the space for the removable filter.
The turning lid of the access opening of the space of the removable filter can he advantageously coupled with the mourning structure of the removable filter.
It is also advantageous if the turning lid of the access opening of the removable filter space contains the external suctioning hole and/or the socket for the suctioning hose.
In accordance with a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mounting structure of the removable filter for a vacuum cleaner according to the first aspect of the invention, wherein the mounting structure is designed as the main basket, installed in the vacuum cleaner body in a turning and/or sliding way and at the same time coupled with the turning lid of the access opening of the space of the removable filter with the use of lifting pins installed sidewise on the fixed arms of the turning lid and fitting into lifting grooves in the side guiding walls of the main basket.
It is also advantageous if the lifting grooves in the side guiding walls of the ham basket are designed with the shape of circular arcs with the centre in the turning axis of the turning lid or with positioning of the centre of the circular arcs with eccentricity with regard to the turning axis of the turning lid where this eccentricity is equal to max. 30% of the radius of the circular arcs of the lifting grooves in the side guiding walls of the main basket.
What is especially beneficial is if the turning lid is equipped with a locking device and/or weight lifting device adapted for holding of the turning lid also with the suspended and lifted main basket in the open position and/or adapted lör lifting the turning lid with a balancing mechanism.
As regards the locking device of the turning lid, it can be advantageously designed as oiie side brace, at its upper end fixed to the turning lid in a turning way and equipped at its lower end, at the side with a shaped supporting pin litting into a locking groove created inside the space of the removable filter, namely along the side wall of the vacuum cleaner body, where this locking groove is equipped with elastic locking protrusions at its upper end, reaching into the route of the shaped supporting pin of the side brace of the turning lid.
The optional weight relieving mechanism may be beneficially designed as a spring and/or balance lever mechanism installed between the turning lid and the vacuum cleaner body.
In general, it is also beneficial if in the side guiding walls of the main basket there are mounting grooves and/or fixation holes adapted for the removable mounting of the supporting front designed for detachable fixation of the removable filter.
Finally, it is also advantageous if the supporting front of the removable filter is designed as a removable basket consisting at least of the front wall and side guided walls, where the front wall of the removable basket is adapted for the mounting and fixation of the removable filter, which is designed as a single-use filtration element in the position of the inlet dust filter and the side guided walls of the removable basket are equipped with protrusions shaped for interaction with the niounting grooves and/or fixation holes in the side guiding walls of the main basket.
This way a vacuum cleaner, or its mounting structure for the removable filter, is created where the vacuum cleaner is relatively rigid and quite lightweight and at the same time, even with the high-positioned threshold of the access opening of the removable filter space, enabling easy handling of this removable filter.
The present invention is further described and explained in a more detailed way with the use of a sample design, also with the use of attached drawings, where: Fig. I shows a part of the vacuum cleaner body with the space for the removable filter in a schematic section describing the overall layout of the mounting structure of the removable filter; Fig. 2 shows the same part of the vacuum cleaner body as Fig. 1. however, this time in a perspective view of a partial section of the removable filter space, in the situation with the lifted main basket in which the supporting front of the removable filter is seated: Fig. 3 presents a perspective view of a partial section of the same part of the vacuum cleaner body with the space for the mounting of the removable filter empty: Fig. 4 shows, in a perspective view, the entire brace of the locking device of the turning lid of the access opening of the removable filter space: Fig. 5 presents a perspective view of the entire main basket of the removable filter; Fig. 6 displays the supporting front of the removable filter in a perspective view again.
As a sample design a vacuum cleaner with a relatively high rigidity of the body I is described here, which is achieved, among other things, with a raised threshold 11 of the access opening 10 for handling of the removable filter 2 while at the same time easy handling of this removable filter 2 is maintained. For this purpose the vacuum cleaner is equipped in this case with a replaceable, removable filter 2 with variable mounting, namely in the mounting structure of the filter. The mounting structure 20 of the filter as well as other apparatuses of the vacuum cleaner are installed in the vacuum cleaner body 1, which also contains the space for the filter designed as a removable filter 2. The threshold 11 of the access opening 10 of the space of the removable filter 2 is situated in the height corresponding in this case to 30% of the vacuum cleaner height in the working position while the removable filter 2 is positioned between the separating suctioning wall 12 of the vacuum cleaner and this threshold 11 and at the same time the access opening 10 of the space of the removable filter 2 is closed with a turning lid 13, which is a part of the vacuum cleaner body 1. What is important here is that the vacuum cleaner contains a sliding and turning mounting structure 20 of the removable filter 2 while this mounting structure 20 is installed in the space of the removable filter 2. Beneficially, the turning lid 13 of the access opening 10 of the space of the removable filter 2 of the vacuum cleaner is coupled with the mounting structure 20 of the removable filter 2. This means that during lifting of the turning lid 13 the main basket 14 with the removable filter 2 is lifted as well and this way the withdrawal of the supporting front 15 with the removable filter 2 attached is facilitated.
Further, the turning lid 13 of the access opening 10 oF the space for the removable filter 2 contains the external suctioning hole 131 for the suctioning hose, not shown here. This external suctioning hole 131 could also be situated in the threshold 11 of the space lOr the removable filter 2, but its positioning in the turning lid 13 supports reliable and proper fit of the gasket of the external suctioning hole 131 onto the internal suctioning hole 151 in the supporting Iront 15 of the removable filter 2, automatically on closing of the turning lid 13.
The mounting structure 20 of the removable filter 2 is designed here as the main basket 14 seated in the vacuum cleaner body 1 principally in a turning way, suspended by lifting pins 1321, where this main basket 14 is also coupled with the turning lid 13 of the access opening 10 of the space of the removable filter 2 with the use of the above mentioned lifting pins 1321 created sidewise on the fixed arms 132 of the turning lid 13 and fitting into the lifting grooves 1411 in the side guiding walls 141 of the main basket 14. In such a coupling first the fixed arms 132, which turn together with the turning lid 13 during the lifting of the turning lid 13, are lifted freely and the lifting pins 1321 created on these fixed arms 132 do not lift the main basket 14 at the beginning. The lilling grooves 1411 in the side guiding walls 141 of the main basket 14 are designed with the shape of circular arcs with the centre in the turning axis of the turning lid 13, so the main basket 14 in this first stage of' the movement of the turning lid 13 does not move sideways either. II is only aller the movement of the lifting pins 1321 to the upper ends of the lifting grooves 1411 in the side guiding walls 141 of the main basket 14 that the main basket 14 starts to rise. Generally, the position of the centre of the circular arcs can be selected with certain eccentricity with regard to the turning axis of the turning lid 13, where the amount of this eccentricity is advantageously equal to 30% of the radius of the circular arcs of the lifting grooves 1411 in the side guiding walls 141 of the main basket 14 at the most. In such a design the maui basket 14 may he slid sideways before lifling and this way it can e.g. he released from the sliding connection to possible locking protrusions of the vacuum cleaner body 1 or from the sliding connection to another filter on the separating suctioning wall 12 of the vacuum cleaner body I. The turning lid 13 is also equipped with a locking device 130 adapted for holding of the turning lid 13 with the raised suspended main basket 14 in the open position. As regards the locking device 130 of the turning lid 13. it is designed as two side braces 1301 attached in a turning way to the turning lid 13 at their upper ends and equipped at their sides at the lower ends with shaped bracing pins 13011 fitting into the locking grooves 161 created inside the space of the removable filter 2, namely along the side walls 16 of' the vacuum cleaner body 1.
These locking grooves 161 always have elastic locking protrusions 1611 at their upper ends reaching into the route of the corresponding shaped brace pin 13011 of each side brace 1301 of the turning lid 13.
In addition, in the side guiding walls 141 of' the main basket 14 mounting grooves 1412 are created that are designed for detachable mounting of the supporting front 15 adapted for detachable fixation of the removable filter 2. The entire detachable fixation of the removable filter 2 in the supporting front 15 is designed in a common way, in this case with the use of fixed hook-like protrusions 153 and turning hook-like protrusions 154 controlled with a button 155. The entire supporting front 15 of the removable filter 2 is designed as a removable basket consisting of the front wall 150 with the internal suctioning hole 151 and the side guided walls 152, where the front wall 150 of the removable basket is designed for the mounting and fixation of the removable filter 2 as described above. Here, the removable filter 2 is designed as a single-use filtration element in the position of the inlet dust filter. The side guided walls 152 of the removable basket are equipped with mounting protrusions 1521 shaped for interaction with the mounting grooves 1412 in the side guiding walls 141 of the main basket 14.
The function of the system as described gradually above is as follows. Together with the opening of the turning lid the main basket with the supporting front wall to which the removable lilier is attached is lifted. Subsequently, the supporting front wall with the removable filter is extended fhrwards and at a suitable point the removable filter is detached from the supporting front wall, put aside and the new removable filter is inserted into [lie fixed and turning hook-like protrusions on the supporting front wall in the reverse order. Then, the supporting front wall is inserted into the main basket and the turning lid is tilted down. At the same time, the main basket is lowered and seated in its position in the space of the removable filter in the vacuum cleaner body and the external suctioning hole in the turning lid is automatically pushed and connected to the internal suctioning hole in the supporting front wall. Now, the replacement of the filter is completed and the vacuum cleaner is ready for operation again.
The equipment can mainly he utilized as a dust vacuum cleaner or rather as the mounting structure of the removable inlet dust filter of such a vacuuni cleaner, but it could also he used to facilitate access to another similar structure or part that would have to he removed from a storage space with a relatively difficult access with turning and/or extension before the entire removal of such a part.
It should be noted that the embodiment of the invention has been described above purely by way of example and that many modifications and developments may be made thereto within the scope of the present invention.
