Abstract

A handle cover which can be placed over, for example, a door handle, to give antibacterial protection to the user. The cover can be cut to any length and slid over a handle in a high traffic area, the handle kills bacteria on impact.

Claims (1)

  1. Anti-bacterial handle shield This anti-bacterial cylindrical tube sleeve can be put on to handles and bars, frequently touched in public areas.
    Primarily it will be a semi-permanent handle sleeve made of an anti-bacterial polymer plastic that will cover any existing handle. It will give protection against organisms responsible for illness and infection.
    * The tube sleeve will be approximately 1mm think, 20 cm long (but can be cut to size), split lengthways, with a diameter of 1cm and an overlap of 1 cm -so allowing coverage of most handles.
    * It can be used to cover pull handles, grab handles and shopping trolley handles. It will be made of a polypropylene plastic, which will kill germs (including MRSA, E-Coli and Salmonella). * * * ** S. .5
