Description
S 1 2445946 Title: Improvements in or relating to water supply systems
The present invention relates to an improvement in water supply systems, particularly, but not exclusively to water supply systems in temporary accommodation, such as cabins, static and dynamic caravans, boats and recreational vehicles and homes.
There has been a growing trend in the use of recreational vehicles and homes. Many recreational vehicles and homes are connected to site facilities to supply the homes and vehicles with power and water. Referring to Figure 1, an example of a water supply system I found in recreational vehicles and homes is shown. Water is supplied from the mains via a pipe 2 and valve 3. The water supply I is split into two to supply cold water for drinking via tap 4 and to supply water for a boiler 4 to produce hot water. Electricity is used to provide power for a heating element of the boiler 4. Hot water is generally provided on demand, : * wherein the boiler 4 detects a flow of water in the system when a hot water tap 6 is opened, this action switches on the heating element to heat up the water. As **** *: shown in Figure 1, the water supply systems of recreational vehicles and homes * .20 are similar to an open water supply system found in permanent buildings. The . : : term open water supply system means a non-circulation or a non-loop system.
****** * * Recreational vehicles and homes are often used during the spring and summer seasons when there are extended periods of good weather and daylight.
However, during the winter season, recreational vehicles and homes are less frequently used.
