Abstract

A low voltage festive decorative light array, comprising a mains power supply transformer plug with integral plug and cables to power by direct current light emitting diodes for display with integral light flasher to control the speed of flashing of the lights for such things as Christmas trees.

Description

I
Festive L)eccrati've Light Array This iivei-itjc)f-i relates tc) a de'vice fc)r i I I u rn I n at I ii g o r d ccc) r at i ii g a w I i-i dow, a property or tree during the festive period with a light array or light emitting diodes powered by the mains electricity supply by household mains socket transfori-rer-plug using low voltage direct current to illuminate the lights.
lIu ri rig the fést i've pen od arrangements are decorated with lights that our eliminated on property or lights arranged in patterns for display on buildings to bring in the tèstize spirit i-Iowe'v'cr the use of cc)n'verit i ona.I m ai ri S ci ectni call y powered Ii gins, powered from cables ficrn the mains can lead to electric shock. Fhese light cables can get trapped in windows or fall fu1 f water that conducts electricity furthermore bulbs can break epc)sing the occupier to potential electric shock.
A safe way to run lights is by battery but the main drew back is that the batteries run down and then have to be replaced with new ones.
To Overcome these prc,bI ems, the present I ri vent I on proposes a lOW electrical power light or light emitting diode's (TII) array. T'hese are available in high inter1si,'e light emitting "ersioris working on very low voltage using direct current.
The IJ"s are then powered by a transformer plug that is plugged into the mains electricity domestic supply to power the rniaj ri s tra.nsfonii-ier housed I ri the mains-plug along with rectifier arid regulator to give a direct current power supply to the lights wired in parallel. The voltage is reduced do-vvn from a high level alternating current electricity supply to a low level and reduced to a voltage acceptable to the LEII's when the L.EID's arc directly co i-i niected iii parallel to each supply line fiom the plug.
Each light illuminatir is Qri a lQw electrical pwcr and each light is p we red by t ran s t r n-i e r p1 u g wi en switched n at th hLJsehQld mains supply scket which has bean isIated by the t ran s fc r me r h u s e d in a ni a i n s p1 u fi-o m t he in a i ii s e I e ct i -i cal s c c k et T'he LEis may be caused t flash intermittently in alterna-tic, n using an sc i 11 at r aii d c ut put stage.
