Abstract

The described system is intended to increase security of peoples' possessions by way of a Bluetooth (RTM) piconet comprising paired Bluetooth (RTM) devices whereby a master device alerts by way of vibration or sounding alarm when a signal connection to it's slave device is broken. Broken connection and failure to automatically reconnect devices would occur as a result of the slave device being "out of range" due to theft or accidental loss. The slave devices will be attached to the possessions intended for safe-keeping such as children, handbags, briefcase etc.

DESCRIPTION
The described system is intended to increase security of peoples' possessions by way of a mobile bluetooth security alarm which relies on the specific Bluetooth functionality described. It's widespread use will act as a deterrent to thieves and kidnappers and will also prevent the accidental loss of possessions. It will be a Bluetooth Guard. The alarm system will rely on a Bluetooth piconet comprising paired Bluetooth devices whereby a master Bluetooth device is alerted by way of vibration or sounding alarm when the connection to its slave devices is broken and automatic reconnection cannot be re-established. Broken connection and failure to automatically reconnect would occur as a result of the slave device being "out of range" due to theft or accidental loss. The slave devices will be attached to the possessions intended for safe-keep: children, handbags, briefcase and other items intended to be secured by the Bluetooth network. The system will employ a protocol that works in reverse so that activation of the master's alarm and vibrator occurs when the signal between master and slave is broken without success of reparation after attempted automatic reconnection of the link fails.
