Description
WASHED PLASTIC DRYING MACHINE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to a device for treatment of recyclable plastic, and more particularly to a machine for drying the washed plastic, like plastic film or bag.
2. Description of the Related Art
A conventional process for treating the recyclable plastic, like plastic film or bag, includes crushing, washing, drying and pelletizing by a pelletizer. In the drying procedure, it needs a dryer to remove water and sends the crushed plastic to a blower, which provides hot air flow. After that, the crushed plastic is collected in a container.
The plastic film or bag always bond together after the washing procedure, so that they are hard to be dried totally in the following drying procedure. In addition, the blower usually is huge and makes big noise that is bad for the work place and increases the cost.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a machine for drying washed plastic, which is smaller in size, makes less noise and keeps a high performance of drying.
According to the objective of the present invention, a machine for drying washed plastic includes a cylinder having a plurality of bores on a bottom thereof, a screw bar received in the cylinder, and a driving device provided on an end of the cylinder to drive the screw bar for rotation. The cylinder has an output at an end opposite to the driving device and an input adjacent to the driving device.

I is a top view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG 2 is a front view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG 3 is a sectional view of the cylinder of FIG 1; FIG 4 is a sectional view of the cylinder of FIG. 2; FIG 5 is a sectional view of the C-section of the cylinder of FIG 4; FIG 6 is a sectional view along the 6-6 line of FIG 5; FIG 7 is a sectional view along the 7-7 line of FIG 5; FIG 8 is an enlarged view of the screw bar of FIG. 4; FIG 9 is an enlarged view of the die head of FIG 4; FIG 10 is a left view of FIG 9; and FIG II is a sectional view along the 11-11 line of FIG 9.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a machine 10 for drying washed plastic includes: A cylinder 20 is a horizontal elongated barrel with bores 21 on a bottom thereof for drainage. In the present embodiment, the cylinder 20 has four sections, including A section, B section, C section and D section, except for the D section, the rest of which has some of the bores 21. As shown in FIG 5, the cylinder 20 has a plurality of guiding slots 22 on an interior side thereof and along an axial direction. As shown in FIG 3, the right side of the cylinder A has an input 23 and the left side thereof has an output 24.
A screw bar 30, as shown in FIG 8, is received in the cylinder 20 having an input section 31, a compression section 32, a decompression section 33 and a output section 34 in the A to D sections respectively. The input section 31 has a greater pitch to draw more plastic in. The compression section 32 has a smaller pitch to compress the plastic for quick water removal. The pitch of the decompression section 33 is a little greater than that of the compression section 32 to decompress the plastic that may vapor the residual water. En the output section 34, the pitch thereof is narrow again to powerful compress the plastic for the third time of water removal.
A driving device 40 includes a motor 41, a belt assembly 43 and a deceleration gearbox 43 to drive the screw bar 30.
An input device 50 includes an input container 51, an input screw bar 52 and a motor 53. The motor 53 drives the input screw bar 52 for rotation, and the input container 51 is in connection with the input 23 of the cylinder 23.
A cutting device 60, which is provided at the output 24 of the cylinder 20, includes an output die head 61 received in the output 24 of the cylinder 20, a cutter 62 and a motor 63 and a belt assembly 64, as shown in FIGS. 9 to 11. The output die head 61 is fixed to the screw bar 30 and rotates along with the screw bar 30. The output die head 61 has spiral guiding slots 611 on an exterior side. The cutter 62 is pivoted on the exterior side of the output die head 61. The motor 63 drives the cutter 62 for rotation via the belt assembly 64 to cut the plastic from the guiding slots 611 of the output die head 61 into pellets.
In operation of the machine 10 of the present invention, the recyclable plastic, like plastic film or bag, is sent to the input container 51 after the crushing and washing procedures. The input screw bar 52 sends the plastic in the input container 51 to the input 23 of the cylinder 20. The screw bar 33 will serve the drying function, including compressing in the compression section 32 for removal of most water, decompressing in the decompression Section 33 for natural evaporation of water and powerful compressing again in the output section 34 to heat the plastic for evaporation of the residual water. At least, the dried plastic is outputted through the output die head 61 and cut by the cutter 62 into fine pellets.
The guiding slots 22 on the interior side of the cylinder 20 may prevent the plastic only rotation but moving when the screw bar 30 rotates to transport the plastic.
The plastic will rub against the interior side of the cylinder 20 when the screw bar 30 rotates that may heat the plastic to help evaporation of water.
For enhancement of drying, it may provide a heater on the cylinder 20. In the embodiment, an electrical heater 70 is provided on the D section of the cylinder 20 to heat the plastic over 100 C.
In the embodiment, the temperature of the plastic when it passes the D section of the cylinder 20 is closed to the melting temperature of plastic, so that the cylinder 20 has no bore in the D section to prevent the molten plastic flows out of the cylinder 20 other than the output 24. The heat of the electrical heater 70 may transmit to the C section that helps the evaporation of water in it also.
As shown in FIG 1 and FIG 2, a shield 80 covers the cylinder 20 to collect water out of the cylinder 20 via the bores 21. The shield 80 has two pipes 81 on a bottom thereof to drain the water out.
The pipes 81 of the shield 80 may be connected to a blower 90 and an exhauster 95 (shown as the dot line in FIG 2). The blower 90 sends hot air flow in and the exhauster 95 exhausts it out to enhance the capacity of water removal. It may provide the blower 90 only, the blower 90 may provide hot air flow into the shield 80 to help evaporation of water. It also may provide the exhauster 95 only, and the exhauster 95 exhausts the shield 80 of air that makes an approximate vacuum condition in the shield 80(0 help evaporation of water.
The description above is a few preferred embodiments of the present invention and the equivalence of the present invention is still in the scope of the claim of the present invention.
