Abstract

A foot cleaning and scrubbing mat, which may be used in the shower or bath tub, is of a modular construction and has specific sections which allows the users to clean between their toes or exfoliate their feet whilst standing. The base, which is fitted with suction cups to secure the device whilst in use, may be moulded from Hytrel (RTM) density polymer. Other foot treatments pads for affixing to the base could be manufactured from a non slip cellular foam known as CFE45. Nylon (RTM) scouring pads are bonded to raised elliptical sections by rubber adhesives such as Gripso.

Description
This report refers to a product called "Friendly Feet" (ff). Friendly Feet is a new form of cleaning mat that has particular sections to clean the feet whilst standing in a shower. This product is based upon the difficulty of clcaning your feet effectively whilst in the shower.
The (ff) mat consists of four parts, one rubber base unit "Suction Base" (sb), one front rubber moulding " Cleaner Pad" (cp), one rear rubber moulded section called "Maintenance Pad" (mp) and one plug section.
The plug is used to attach the (cp) firmly in position. (see fig 1-5) There are two main features on (ff), one is a "toe separator" which consists of a dome section that causes the ball of the foot to spread the toes open to allow water and soap into this area.
The other feature is the "Maintenance Pad" (mp) which is the same material and density as (cp) but it has an additional surface modification.
This is a layer of 100% Nyloscouring pad) which is surface mounted using a rubber adhesive. This is used for rubbing down dead skin cells on the heel and ball joint of the foot.
The outline dimensions are 600 mm in length and 450mm in width and 35mm in depth.
This (ff) pad will retail for 24.99 approx -icy
