Abstract
A binfresh unit includes means for attachment to a wheelie bin lid (1, Fig. 1), a solid plastic holding unit with flexible arms (2, Fig. 1), 3, 4, and a semi durable card cage unit with easy access tab containing deodorant/repellent tablet 5, 6.
Description
I
BINFRESH
This invention relates to a device for keeping wheelybins disinfected, smelling fresh and free from flys and rodents.
With the introduction by councils of bin collections every second week, bins, however careful we are, can become smelly and attract unwanted guests.
Binfresh sits in the lid of wheelybins and is constructed in a solid plastic format with semi durable card cage. The cage format encourages airflow which is activated and enhanced with every opening and closing of the lid.
Figure 1 shows base of Binfresh unit which is attached to a bin lid and holds semi durable card cage with tab and deodoriser tablets.
Figure 2 shows top of Binfresh unit with opening to hold cage and deodoriser.
Figure 3 shows Binfresh unit situated in position in bin lid.
FIGURE 1 The Binfresh unit consists of: I. Peel-off self adhesive strip by which means the unit is attached to the lid of the wheelybin lid.
2. A solid plastic half base holds the self adhesive strip and adds to the stability of the unit when attached to the wheelybin lid.

4. Opening arms with a flexible spring-like effect which open when inserting, and close back to hold the cage in place.
5. Semi durable card cage container with tab, for ease of insertion and withdrawal.
The grid format aids airflow, and the opening and closing movement of the lid enhances efficiency.
6. Disinfectant, repellent, deodoriser tablet.
FIGURE 3 Shows the Binfresh unit in situ. By being placed in the bin lid it does not interfere with the use of, or the emptying of the bin.
Claims (4)
1) The Binfresh construction comprises of two units.
2) Unit one is of a solid plastic construction and is permanently attached to the lid of the wheelybin by means of a heavy duty self adhesive strip and holds unit two in position.
3) Unit two is of a semi durable card construction and holds a disinfectant/repellent tablet -this unit is replaceable and biodegradable.
4) By using the Binfresh unit one in conjunction with unit two, the wheelybin will have a pleasant aroma and will be a deterrent to flys and rodents.

Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows:
1) The Binfresh construction comprises of two units.
2) Unit one is of a solid plastic construction and is permanently attached to the lid of the wheelybin by means of a heavy duty self adhesive strip and holds unit two in position.
3) Unit two is a deodoriser/repellent unit with tab -this unit is replaceable and biodegradable.
