Abstract

The spirit level aided rule 4 includes a rule 1 which is built into a spirit level 2. Various rules may be built in the spirit level 2 which will include any one of many measuring devices as well as standard measurements 3.

Description

1 2441553 Spirit level aided Rules with Measures This invention relates
to the advancement of rules used in the construction industry to level off various surfaces such as screeded floors or rendered walls.
Typically rules are used to remove excess substance from the surface the substance is being adhered to and to attempt to create a flat and level surface.
The surface is then checked with a spirit level in order to confirm that it has been properly leveled off in all directions.
The invention proposes that a rule is built into a spirit level. The rules will come in various shapes and sizes in order to suit the substance that it is being applied to.
The rules will also incorporate a measure or measuring device so that they can also be used to gauge distances and be used a straight edge in other areas such as dry lining systems The rules may be permanently fixed to the levels or detachable.
Having the rule built into the spirit level allows for a much more accurate and speedier process. It also allows the user to insert the rule into the substance to level position and rule the excess off from that position.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the following drawing: Figure 1 shows a standard or typical spirit level and a rule; Figure 2 shows a standard spirit level with the rule built into it encompassing measurements.
Figure 2 shows a rule I is attached or built into the spirit level 2. Measurements 3 are inscribed into the rule I in order to make the device more accurate and ambidextrous. Various rules and spirit levels may be used, all having the same desired purpose. Together figure 2 portrays the finished product 4.

Claims (3)

1. A rule with measurements is built into a spirit level.
2. A spirit level as according to claim 1 that has a rule of any sort built into it.

1. A rule with measurements is built into and detachable from a spirit level.
2. A spirit level as according to claim I that has a rule of any sort built into it, or any rule that is detachable from it.
