Abstract

A pencil holder which prevents a pencil from falling or being lost. Preferably the holder comprises a pencil cap 1, elastic band 2 and alligator clip 3. The cap 1 may be cone-shaped and formed from an elastic material for attachment to the rear end of the pencil. The elastic band 2 may be adjusted to a comfortable arms length and the alligator clip 3 permits the pencil holder to be attached to an item of clothing such as a pocket.

<p>/ 2439294 Pencil Holder This invention relates to a device for holding
a pencil.</p>
<p>When a pencil is used, for example, by architects, master builders, joiners etc, it can fall down or be lost easily on the building site. To avoid this, the present invention proposes a pencil holder.</p>
<p>The device consists of a cap, elastic band and alligator clip. Alligator clip's function is to attach device to a pencil. Due to universality of the alligator clip, the device can be attached to one's clothes. Elastic band is an essential element of the device which ensures reliability of connecting a cap and a clip. The cap should be attached to the rear of the pencil.</p>

<p>Security is also guaranteed by the cone-shaped form of the cap. Due to the elastic band's flexibility, the pencil holder will rest comfortably whilst using the pencil The device will make sure that the pencil will always be on hand and prevent it from falling or loosing, at the same time allowing the person using a pencil to expand the amplitude of moves. For best results, the length of the elastic band after purchase should be adjusted precisely for each individual user and should be equal to the distance between one's wrist and underarm. It will ensure convenient retrieval of the pencil when the arm is fully stretched. Such length will also allow attaching pencil to one's pocket easily. The aim of alligator clip is to ensure reliable fastening of the device to clothes. It is recommended to attach alligator clip at the level of top pocket.</p>
<p>The invention is simple to make and therefore it is suitable for mass manufacturing.</p>
<p>It is appropriate for different types and sizes of pencils by adjusting clip element and pencil cap depending. There is no need to use any additional elements for this invention as the form and length of each element provides reliability of each element's fixation and universality of pencil holder.</p>
<p>The reliability of fixation is ensured by self-fixing knot of elastic band in tight cone-shaped cap.</p>
<p>The invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figurel shows the general look of device: pencil cap 1, elastic band 2 and alligator clip 3.</p>
<p>Figure2 shows pencil cap element: leading hole for the pencil 1, additional self-fixed Figure3 shows alligator clip element Figure4 shows example of design of different caps for pencils of different sizes and shapes.</p>

  1. <p>Claims 1. A pencil holder to prevent a pencil from falling and/or
    loosing.</p>
    <p>2. A pencil holder according to claim 1, in which elastic band fastens alligator clip with pencil cap.</p>
