Abstract

A bottle cap for sealing bottles such as red wine bottles to maintain freshness of contained wine. The bottle cap comprises a top cap 1, a sealing cap 2 and a threaded connector 3. The threaded connector is sleeved on related bottle neck. On the top periphery of said threaded connector equipped with outer threads 31 which used to mating the inner threads 11 of said top cap. The top cap is pressing on the sealing cap. The sealing cap is embracing on the bottle opening. A self-locking vent hole 21 is equipped in the center portion of the sealing cap for extracting air from the bottle. The bottle cap of this invention can effectively re-seal any opened red wine bottle and the like. By embracing the sealing cap on the bottle opening, then extracting air from the bottle through the self-locking vent hole of the sealing cap by an air pump, making the bottle vacuum. Then to screw the top cap on the threaded connector, to make the top cap press the sealing cap. Thus causing the sealing cap tightly abutting the bottle opening for preventing outer air enters into the bottle. There oxidizing inside the bottle is prevented, the freshness maintaining effect is raised, the storage period is elongated, the original flavor of the red wine (or beer) is kept.

Description

--

BOTTLE CAP FOR MAINTAINING FRESHNESS

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to the articles of daily use, particularly to a kind of bottle cap for sealing wine bottle (such as red wine bottle) to maintain freshness of contained wine.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In daily life, a bottle of red wine (or beer) once opened, the air-tightness function of original cap will be greatly reduced, therefore, even the bottle is re-capped and stored, the remainder will deteriorate quickly, and sometime it becomes completely undrinkable. Particularly the red wine, nowadays, the red wine generally using a cork for sealing the bottle opening, once opened, the cork can not be re-pLugged in. In some case, the cork is seemed perfectly plugged in, while the outside air can enter into the bottle easily, thus makes the contained red wine oxidized, therefore, it not only affected the storage period, but also causing the red wine deteriorated, thus results waste.

SU)ARY OF THE INVENTION The object of this invention is to overcome the shortcomings of prior art, and to provide a kind of bottle cap for maintaining freshness which is simply in construction, easy to be used, capable to re-seal an opened wine bottle, and has good quality in air-tightness.

For achieving above mentioned object, the bottle cap of this invention comprising: a top cap, a sealing cap and a threaded connector. To slip the threaded connector on a bottle neck, since on the top portion of said connector has outer threads which couples with inner threads of said top cap, after screwing said top cap onto said connector, the top cap will push said sealing cap and pressing it tightly on the bottle opening. In the center portion of said sealing cap is a self-locking vent hole used for extracting air from the bottle.

On the top portion of said threaded connector there are several axial slots to make said slotted portion can be outwardly expandable or inwardly shrinkable.

In said sealing cap, On the center portion, there is a protruded cylinder for making said self-locking vent hole.

Said sealing cap is a soft part with its periphery embracing the periphery of the bottle opening.

The bottle cap for maintaining freshness of this invention can effectively re-seal opened red wine bottle etc., by embracing the sealing cap on the bottle opening, and then by extracting air through the self-locking vent hole of said sealing cap with any extracting device such as pump to make the bottle vacuum, then the top cap is screwed on the threaded connector for pressing the sealing cap tightly on the bottle opening. Thus preventing outside air enters into the bottle to oxidize the contained wine.

Therefore, it is raising the effect of maintaining freshness and elongating the storage period, and keeping the original flavor of the red wine (or beer).

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective exploring drawing of this invention.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the assembly of this invention.

FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the assembly of this invention in use.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT

A detailed description is now made with referring the accompanied drawings as follows: As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the bottle cap for maintaining freshness of this invention comprising: a top cap 1, a sealing cap 2 and a threaded connector 3. The threaded connector 3 is in the form of a tube, its inner hole mates the bottle neck, when in use, said threaded connector 3 Is sleeved on related bottle neck. On the top periphery of said threaded connector 3 has outer threads 31.

On the top portion of said threaded connector 3 where has outer threads 31, equipped with several axial slots 32 to form an expendable/shrinkable construction. Said outer threads 31 is mating the inner threads 11 in said top cap 1.

Said top cap 1 is designed for tightly pressing said sealing cap 2. Said top cap 1 has a half-closed construction, the top inner surface of said top cap 1 tightly pressing the sealing cap 2, while the sealing cap 2 is capping on the bottle opening, and on the center portion of said sealing cap 2 equipped with a self-locking vent hole 21 used for extracting air from the bottle.

As shown in FIG. 2, there is a cylinder portion 22 downwardly equipped on the inner center portion of said sealing cap 2, along said cylinder portion 22, a self-locking vent hole 21 is formed. The sealing cap 2 is a soft part, it is made of a material accepted by food industry.

The periphery of said sealing cap 2 is embracing the periphery of the bottle opening.

As shown in FIG. 3, when utilizing the bottle cap of this invention, firstly to sleeve the threaded connector 3 onto the bottle neck from the bottle opening, since there are several axial slots 32 on the top portion of said threaded connector 3, the connector 3 can be expanded for embracing on the bottle neck easily; then to embrace the sealing cap 2 on the bottle opening, then inserting the pin-formed nozzle of an air pump 4 into the self-locking vent hole 21 of the sealing cap 2; then extracting out the air from the bottle. After extracting, pull out the air pump 4, the self-locking vent hole 21 will self-lock automatically for preventing outer air to enter the bottle. Then, to screw the top cap 1 on the threaded connector 3 tightly, thus, the inner surface of the top cap 1 tightly abutting the sealing cap 2, for causing the inner bottom surface of the sealing cap 2 tightly abutting on bottle opening.

Therefore, outer air can not enter into the bottle, this will affect a good air-tightness of the bottle for keeping the original flavor of contained wine in a long period to gain outstanding freshness-maintain effect.
