Abstract

A nappy 1 which includes a high girdle to fit around the chest of a baby which is fastened around the body by numerous strips 4. Preferably the nappy also includes leg coverings 5 which are fastened around the legs by strips 6 along the edges. The edges of the girdle 3 and the ends of the leg coverings 7 may be elasticated. The nappy may have a highly absorbent interior and a waterproof exterior. The nappy may extend above the normal waistline 2 and may provide extra coverage and protection during bouts of diarrhoea.

DIANAPP
The invention relates to a babies nappy specifically designed help cope with tiie affliction of diarrhoea. As the condition of diarrhoea results in excessive liquid excrement being released, ordinary nappies may not hold all of the watery discharges which results in the babies back, legs and clothing being soiled.
Ordinary nappies have an inadequately low girdle that prevents the diarrhoea discharge from being contained. The Dianapp nappy has an extra high girdle that helps contain diarrhoea discharge that may run up a babies back. Ordinary nappies also have no leg covering, whereas the Dianapp nappy has leg coverings that also helps contain the diarrhoea discharge that can run down babies legs.
This invention provides a nappy that gives extra soaking ability over more of the babies body to help deal with the extra soiling caused by diarrhoea.
The Dianapp is made from highly absorbent materials to cope with normal soiling and diarrhoea discharges and has a high girdle and leg coverings. The outside of the nappy may be lined with waterproof materia] to retain the watery discharges.
2
The invention will now be described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing in which:
FIGURE 1 shows a front view of the Dianapp.
As shown in Figure 1 the Dianapp consists of the main part of the nappy 1 to be wrapped around the body of the baby. The Dianapp can be seen to be higher that a regular nappy (which would have die waist girdle at 2) and the Dianapp would reach up to the chest area. The top girdle at 3 would be elasticated to help keep the wateiy discharges in the nappy. Fastening strips 4 would keep die Dianapp wrapped around die baby.
The legs of the baby would be covered by the leg coverings 5 which are wrapped around the legs and kept in position by fastening strips 6. The bottom part of the leg coverings 7 would be elasticated to help keep the wateiy discharges in the leg part of the nappy.
