Abstract

The instant invention relates to mesogenic compounds, which comprise two mesogenic groups, which are bound to a common atom, said common atom optionally may further be substituted. The instant invention further relates to mesogenic media, preferably liquid crystal media showing a blue phase and their use in electro-optical light modulation elements and to their respective use in displays, as well as to such devices.
