Abstract

A receiving tank is disclosed for the reception of compressed air, said receiving tank comprising a separator element for the removal of impurities from the compressed gas. In a main embodiment, the separator element is, in particular, a multi stage separator element of the kind commonly found on air compressors such as oil flooded rotary screw type compressors. Also disclosed is an air compressor system using such a receiving tank.
