Abstract

A wristwatch incorporates a heart rate detector with sensor elements provided in watch casing or wrist strap. The detector triggers an alarm if the heart rate is abnormally high indicating that the wearer is scared because they are being assaulted or threatened by an assailant such as a rapist. The alarm provides for a wireless signal to be sent to a remote location such as a police authority, thus acting silently for the wearer. The geographic area of concern may be indicated to the police.

Description

I

DESCRIPTION

ANTI-RAPE WRIST WATCH

The concept of the Anti-Rape Wrist Watch, being worn on the wrist, which in addition to telling the time, has a sensor built in to pick up ad normally high heart beats. The excessive heart beats triggers a high frequency radio wave which is transmitted through a link sensor. These are received in the local Police station via a grid panel containing a map of the area covered by that station; an illuminated bulb denotes the area of concern of where aid is required.

The invention, because it is inconspicuous, does not deter the criminal, yet could be invaluable to the Police and of course, the proposed victim. As it is silent the criminal is not aware of the Police activity before it is too late.

The object of this invention is to provide the general public with the means of protection and supplying the Police with a sophisticated and silent weapon against the criminal.

A two in one feature, a normal looking wrist watch plus the high frequency sensor that once activated will send radio waves out to the Police station.

The sensors can be positioned either within the wrist strap, or, inside the watch case itself, either way the radio waves will still be functional.

A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to The accompanying drawing which: Figure 1 shows the underside view of the positions for the sensors 4 within the watch casing and the wrist strap this can be either a clip fastening or have a key lock attached.

Figure 2 describes the situated position of the sensor 4 within the casing, as the sensor is slim it can lie on top of the normal workings, the screw on back plate will have a window to enable to "read" the pulse.

Figure 3 shows the receiving board I, situated inside the Police station, as the bulbs 2 are located above the area map, the map 3, and is virtual in this drawing.

Figure 4 shows possible locations of grid board 1, included are the maps 3 and bulbs 2, within the Police vehicle.

The sensors 4 are to read the pulse rate from normal to deeply frightened before omitting the radio waves. Being encased they are invisible I and 4 to the naked eye therefore acts as a safety barrier.

Again, as it is normal to wear a wrist watch it is insignificant in its potential as an alarm.

The straps 3 can be made from both leather and metal with the sensor 4 being made part of these.
