Abstract

A cover to fit over the tip of each finger to protect the nail from exposure to ultraviolet light. Exposure to ultraviolet light, from the sun or from tanning lights, causes nails to discolour and turn yellow. This is a particular problem in respect of artificial or false nails. The covers may be adapted to make a tighter fit or may be cut at each side to make a looser fit.

<p>I</p>
<p>Finger Nail Cover This invention relates to a cover that fits over a finger tip and prevents ultra violet (IJV) light from reaching a real or false finger nail.</p>
<p>A problem that people experience when there false finger nails are exposed to ultra violet light from the sun or whilst using sunbeds is that there false finger nails can discolour and turn yellow.</p>
<p>To overcome this, when the false nails are going to be exposed to ultra violet light, Applying the "finger nail cover" will stop the ultra violet light from reaching the false finger nail and stop it from discolouring and turning yellow.</p>
<p>Nail Cover.</p>
<p>A nail cover when placed on to a finger tip to prevent ultra violet light from reaching the finger nail and discolouring the false finger nail and turning the false finger nail yellow.</p>
<p>The finger nail cover can be adapted in two ways to make a tighter or looser fit.</p>
<p>Figure A shows how the finger nail cover is fitted to the linger tip.</p>
<p>Figure B shows how to achieve tighter fit.</p>
<p>Figure C shows how to achieve a looser fit by cutting each side of the finger nail cover. 3'</p>

Claims (1)

  1. <p>Claims 1. A finger nail cover is a cap that is designed to fit over
    each finger tip, to block any ultra violet light from reaching a false finger nail. When the finger nail cover is fitted over a finger tip and the finger is exposed to ultra violet light from the sun, or in a tanning salon, the ultra violet light will not reach the false finger nail and the false finger nail will not discolour and turn yellow.</p>
