HEXAGON KEY WRENCH COMBINATION SHEATH

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a toolbox for containing hexagon key wrenches, and more particularly to a simple-structured toolbox capable of simultaneously containing several hexagon key wrenches of different sizes and

specifications.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG 1, a prior art hexagon key wrench

combination sheath includes a rectangular plastic plate body 1, and the front side of the plate body 1 has an externally protruding first inserting body 2, and the first inserting body 2 at its axial direction has a circular inserting hole 4 penetrating both ends of the first inserting body 2, and a second inserting body 3 is disposed at the front of the first inserting body 2, and the first inserting body 2 and the second inserting body 3 have different heights to constitute a stairway-shape positional difference, and the second inserting body 3 at its axial direction has a plurality of circular inserting holes 4, and the plurality of circular inserting holes 4 is provided for inserting hexagon key wrenches of different diameters, and the plate body 1 at its top has a hanging hole 5, and the hanging hole 5 facilitates hanging the hexagon key wrench combination sheath on a hook (which is not shown in the figure). However, the prior art hexagon key wrench combination sheath can only provide the function of hanging a small quantity of hexagon key wrenches. If there are two types of hexagon key wrenches of metric and British systems, then it will need another hexagon key wrench combination sheath, which will occupy much space. As we all know, the hexagon key wrenches come with a metric system or a British system, or an even number or an odd number for the installation. When the hexagon key wrench is used for turning a screw, it is necessary to leverage a handle for the turning function, which is inconvenient for its use.

Furthermore, the prior art hexagon key wrench combination sheath is manufactured according to the diameter and size of each circular inserting hole 4, which requires several molds, and thus increasing the manufacturing cost.

In view of the shortcomings of the prior art, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the sales and marketing of similar products to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally invented a very useful hexagon key wrench combination sheath to overcome the shortcomings of the

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hexagon key wrench combination sheath that comprises a first latching element and a second latching element which are pivotally coupled and hollow, and the open ends of the first and second latching elements include a plurality of concave edges corresponding to different hole diameters, and the two corresponding concave edges are engaged to form an inserting hole, and the inserting hole can clamp a hexagon key wrench, and a short shaft section of the hexagon key wrench can be inserted into a sheathing hole of the second latching element. A casing can be latched onto the latching elements, and the casing at its left and right sides respectively includes a latching portion for fixing a sheath, and the sheath along its longitudinal direction has holes of different diameters for inserting a plurality of different sized hexagon key wrenches, so as to contain hexagon key wrenches of different specifications, and the first and second latching elements are provided for movably opening and clamping hexagon key wrenches of various model numbers for securing or loosening a screw and complying with the ergonomic way of applying forces by human hands.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a hexagon key wrench combination sheath, and the casing can be latched by different sheathes with different sized holes, so that users can select the desired sheath for use. If the first and second latching elements are not in use, the casing can be latched onto the first and second latching elements, and the sheath can be embedded into both sides of the casing, so as to reduce the volume for easy carrying and storage.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED

EMBODIMENTS

The present invention will now be described in more detail hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings as follows.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a hexagon key wrench combination sheath of the invention comprises: a first latching element 10 and a second latching element 20 which are pivotally coupled and hollow, and the first latching element 10 and the second latching element 20 are engaged to form an olive-shape housing to be held by hands, and the open ends of the first and second latching elements 10, 20 include a plurality of concave edges 11, 21 corresponding to different hole diameters. Each concave edge 11, 12 is in a semicircular shape, so that two corresponding concave edges 11, 12 precisely form a circular inserting hole a, and the inserting hole a can clamp a hexagon key wrench 30, and a short shaft section 31 of the hexagon key wrench 30 can be sheathed into a sheathing hole 22 disposed at a lateral side of the second latching element 20 as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5; a casing 40, made of a plastic material and latched to an external side of a pivotal connecting end of the first and second latching elements 10, 20, and the casing 40 is a housing substantially in a half-olive shape, and the left and right sides of its open end respectively include two inwardly bent and curved paws 41 to operate with the first and second latching elements 10, and to be latched and attached onto the external walls of the first and second latching elements 10, 20, and a latching portion 42 is disposed between the two paws 41, and the latching portion 42 is a rectangular embedding groove having an opening smaller than the internal width of the embedding groove for inserting and fixing an inserting portion 51 at a side of the sheath 50. The casing 40 includes a rectangular through slot 44 disposed along a longitudinal direction of the lateral side of the casing 40, and the through slot 44 is provided for containing and fixing a pivotal connecting portion 12 of the first and second latching elements 10, 20. The inserting portion 51 is substantially in a wedge shape having a clamping portion 52 extended vertically outward, and the clamping portion 52 can be clamped precisely onto a wall surface 43 on a latching portion 42 of the casing 40. In FIG 6, a latching groove 45 is disposed respectively on both sides of the bottom of the casing 40 for receiving a hook portion 56 on the internal side of the sheath 50, and the sheath 50 includes a plurality of holes 53 having different diameters and disposed longitudinally, and each hole 53 penetrates both ends of the sheath 50, and the sheath 50 has a first distal surface 54 and a second distal surface 55 which are two- stair shape with different thicknesses. The hole 53 of the first distal surface 54 is larger than the hole 53 of the second distal surface 55 and the holes 53 are provided for inserting a plurality of hexagon key wrenches 30 of different sizes and specifications and arranging the wrenches in an ascending order for facilitating their recognition and access, so as to contain hexagon key wrenches 30 with different

sizes and specifications.

If the present invention is in use, any one inserting hole a disposed at an open end of the first latching element 10 and second latching element 20 is provided for inserting a long shaft section 32 of a hexagon key wrench 30 of various different sizes, and each short shaft section 31 of a hexagon key wrench 30 can pass through a sheathing hole 22 formed by engaging the first and second latching elements 10, 20, so that users can hold the first and second latching elements 10, 20 by hands, and the inserting hole clamps a hexagon key wrench 30 for driving a screw to rotate. The hexagon key wrenches 30 can be inserted into the holes 53 on one side of the sheath 50 according to odd numbers, and the ones with even numbers can be inserted into the holes 53 of another sheath 50. Each hexagon key wrench 30 can be arranged according to its size for facilitating its recognition and access. The first and second latching elements 10, 20 are engaged into an olive-shape, and its surface is a smooth arc surface for providing a comfortable way of turning the wrench by hands.

If the present invention is not in use, the first and second latching elements 10, 20 jointly clamp a hexagon key wrench 30 to drive a screw to rotate. Since the first and second latching elements 10, 20 can be contained in the casing 40, and thus the invention has a small containing space and an easy-to-carry feature. If a user wants to use the first and second latching elements 10, 20 to clamp the hexagon key wrench 30 to rotate a screw, the user just needs to turn open the casing 40 by force, and then open the first and second latching elements 10, 20 to sheathe the hexagon key wrench 30 into the sheathing hole 22, and engage the first and second latching elements 10, 20 to apply a force for turning the screw, and the use is very convenient and quick.

Further, the sheath 50 of the invention can come with the holes 53 of different sizes arranged in an ascending order. Since the first and second latching elements 10, 20, casing 40, and sheath 50 are manufactured respectively, the selected sheaths 50 can be movably coupled onto the casing 40 according to actual needs, and it only requires one mold for manufacturing the sheath without the need of making a mold for holes 53 of different sizes. The first and second latching elements 10, 20 and casing can use one mold, and thus the invention can save the molding cost.

In summation of the description above, the manufacturing sample produced according to the specification and drawings of this invention have been used and tested for many times and proven to achieve the expected purposes and effects, and thus the present invention has a relatively high potential in the market, and herein enhances the performance than the conventional structure and further complies with the patent application requirements and is submitted to the Patent and Trademark Office for review and granting of the commensurate patent rights.

While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.
