Abstract

A projectile 102 is disclosed comprising a rear housing portion 110 defining a cavity 112, the cavity 112 being open at the forward end of the rear housing portion 110. A reactive material 114 is disposed within the cavity 112 which is closed by a tip 116 at its forward end. The interior of the cavity 112 is formed with surface features such as recesses or flutes 126 which interact with the reactive material 114 in the cavity 112 to resist a change in the angular velocity of the reactive material 114 relative to the angular velocity of the housing 110.
