Abstract

A mitten A, B that is detachably attachable to the handle bar C of a pram thereby keeping the wearer's hands 1, 2 warm and dry while pushing a pram. Preferably the mitten is detachably secured to the handle bar via a holding strap (K Fig 3a) attached to the mitten that wraps around the handle bar of the pram, before being detachably secured to the mitten. In use, the wearer may insert and remove their hands without the need to remove the mitten from the handlebar. The strap may incorporate a non-slip material to increase the straps grip, and made from a warm and weatherproof material that is flexible enough for the wearer to adjust the position of the glove.

<p>I</p>
<p>Muff Mummy This invention relates to attachable mittens for prams and pushchairs.</p>
<p>Whilst pushing a pram or pushchair on a cold wet day the pusher's hands can also become cold and wet The wearing of conventional gloves is the norm but these become a bind when you have to continually remove them to either attend to your child's needs, get your purse out or answer your phone when you want quick easy access to free bands. Gloves also have the unfortunate habit of getting lost.</p>
<p>To overcome this problem, we have invented purpose made warm and weather proof and washable mittens that attach to the pram handle allowing your hands to move freely in and Out when required. The mittens incorporate an attachment fitting suitable for all prams and pushchairs giving it universal usage. The fitting is attached at the palm of the glove and wraps round the handle, incorporating a non-slip material, enabling the rearer to adjust the mittens to their favoured comfortable position whilst maintaining a natural grip on any handle design on the market.</p>
<p>The invention will now be described solely by way of illustration in the accompanying drawings: Figure reference: 1. Shows a pair of mittens attached to the handle of pram.</p>

<p>In figure(2) similarly, left hand mitt (D) and right hand mitt (E) sit on handles (F) and (0) of a pushchair.</p>
<p>In figure (3a) you can see the underside of a right hand mitt. Part (H) will accommodate fingers and part (I) the thumb. Part (J) is where the holding strap is attached to the glove and part (K) is the fitting that wraps around the handle. This then tucks under loop (L).</p>
<p>Figure (3b), as in (3a), shows how part (J) will sit on the handlebar, whilst straps (K) wrap around to grasp it. Parts (M), shown in some lines and dashes to illustrate the top and underside of mitt, are lined with non-slip material. Part (I) is drawn in dashes to show where the thumb would be.</p>
<p>In figure (4) mitten (0) is attached to the handle (N) by the strap fitting (P).</p>

    handles on prams and pushchairs
  2. 2. A mitten according to claim (1) m which the materials that make up the mitten keep the users hand warm and dry whilst puching a pram or pushchair
  3. 3. A mitten that according to claim (1) when attached to the handle bar will slay in place making for easy entry and exit of hands
  4. 4. A mitten that according to claim (3) consists of materials that grip the handle
  5. 5. A mitten that according to claim (2) is flexible enough to be used on handle bars with brakes
  6. 6. A mitten that according to claim (1) is detachable and washable
  7. 7. A mitten that according to claim (4) can be adjusted in position for the comfort of the user and replaced many times
