Abstract

A device for repairing a hole in a vessel hull comprises a collapsible rubber membrane and an adjustable clamp. During use the device is passed from inside the hull through the hole in the hull in its collapsed state and is then opened out to form a seal against the outside of the hull, the adjustable clamp then being locked against the inside of the hull. The adjustable clamp may be adjusted with a threaded clasp moveable along a threaded shaft and this allows the device to be used on various vessels with different hull thicknesses. The rubber membrane may be extended into its opened state by means of extendable reinforced arms.
