Abstract

A spirit level having means to illuminate the bubble vial(s). There is a battery compartment and a push button on/off device which includes an automatic switch off facility.

<p>DESCRIPTION</p>
<p>The illuminated spirit level is built exactly the same as an ordinary non illuminated spirit level. The level will also incorporate a battery compartment and a push button on/off switch which will have a built in automatic switch off facility if not turned off manually after two minutes or thereabouts. Beams of light will shine across the tubes containing the fluid and bubble and will be illuminated, allowing the user to see the reading in bad light and even darkness, The fluid may be coloured to also aid with reading. The bulbs will be positioned flush inside the circular cut-out which holds the glass fluid/bubble tube. Either two or four bulbs could be used at 90 intervals, or maybe just one slightly larger one.</p>
