Abstract

A ski pole for a snowboarder comprises a telescopic pole with multiple hand grips 1, 2, 3. A push button mechanism (9) is used to release the sections of the pole. The pole may be secured in a holster (6A, 7A) attached to a limb or snow boot.

Description

Push Button Telescopic Snowboarding Pole and Holster This invention
relates to a snowboarding pole for snowboarders.
When snowboardérs are on a mountain they move from place to place using the mountain slopes and gravity. When snowboarders need to move horizontally or on an incline they must unbind their back snow boot and drag their board across the mountain on one leg. The alternative to this is to simply hop with both legs to a descending slope or unbind both boots from the snowboard and walk to their destination This is veiy a tiresome process To overcome this, the present Ewerdion proposes a multi- grip telescopic pole to be stored in a l%ul add to U nb or snow boot of the snowboarder that is extended by pulling and contraded by a press at a bLn.
The telescopic pole w enable the snowboarder to propel themselves across the terrain on their snowbod rather than walking, hopping or dragging their snowboard.
Preferably the pole and hor are made from mpos ns to ow fer the necessary design featwes to be ziiiad Pvty the pole w hew hand grips to idk for both hands at the _____ to prowide leage aid ae mosiaan uang a paddling adion.
Preferably the pole wil enable lle boder to lage awi ae mimithan iig a single hand.
P1Aily the pole wil be k uiC with 2 or more blcs'copic sedions.
Preferably the pole wil hove a locking medim at desáed leni to ke the secns from discoruwding.
Pvrably the pole be Irlescoped with a ess at a botton.
Preferably the pole will howe a ho ws to the nb or sr boot at the snowboarder with tI4Iy the hols w be deed to the stie at the iow boot or snioarders limb.
Preferably the holster w he a pl.c'1iert holder at bolksn aid a frEig methanisin at the top to sie the pole.
An erauple at the ii I now be áed by to the acoompaning drawings: Figre 1 shows a mdli grip handle arid letopc pole w a ecMpsd accor to the invention Figure 2 shows a holster that can be attached to the limb or snow boot of the snowboarder according to the invention.
Figure 3 shows a button mechanism to telescope the pole sections according to the invention.
Figure 4 shows a collapsed telescopic pole secured in a holster according to the invention.
Figure 5 shows a pole fully extended according to the invention.
In figure 1, multiple hand grips 1, 2 and 3 can be used to propel the snowboarder Grips 1 and 3 would be used siftiultaneously to provide leverage and create momentum. Grips 1, 2 or 3 can also be used individually to provide leverage and create momentum.
In figure 2 the holster is designed to fit the shape of the limb or the snow boot comfortably. The holster is attached to the limb or snow boot using two straps (not shown). The top strap passes through slots 6A and 6B and wraps around the limb or boot horizontaHy and is connected using a standard clip.
The bottom strap passes through. slots TA and 7B and wraps around the limb or boot horizontally and is connected using a standard clip. The hoister has a placement holder for the stem of the pole 8. The pole is secured using a fastening mechanism 4 at the top of the holster.
In Fiqure 3, the button 9 is pressed to collapse the sections of the pole.
