Description

GRILLE HAVING LIGHT EMITTING EFFECT
The present invention relates to a grille for a car, and more particularly to a grille having a light emitting effect.
A conventional grille is mounted on the front side of a car to dissipate the heat from the engine of the car. However, the conventional grille only has a single function, thereby limiting the versatility of the conventional grille.
In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a grille, comprising a filter net, and a light emitting device mounted on a side of the filter net. The light emitting device includes a pattern plate having a first side mounted on a side of the filter net, a bottom cap having a first side mounted on a second side of the pattern plate, and a circuit board mounted between the pattern plate and the bottom cap and having a plurality of light emitting members.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a grille having a light emitting effect.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a grille, wherein the convex faces of the pattern plate function as a refractive face to refract the light rays from the light emitting members so that the light rays are refracted outward from the pattern plate evenly and smoothly, thereby enhancing the outstanding appearance of the grille when the car is driven at the night.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a grille for a car, wherein the light rays from the light emitting members are completely reflected by the reflective bonding paper bonded on the bottom cap, so that the light rays from the light emitting members are completely emitted outward 5, from the pattern plate, thereby enhancing the aesthetic quality of the grille.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
in the drawings: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a grille in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the grille as shown in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side plan cross-sectional view of the grille as shown in Fig. 1.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the grille for a car as shown in Fig. 1.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the grille for a car as shown in Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings and initially to Figs. 1-3, a grille for a car in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a filter net 1, and a light emitting device 2 mounted on a side of the filter net 1.
The filter net 1 has a periphery formed with a plurality of screw bores 10.
The light emitting device 2 includes a pattern plate 20 having a first side mounted on a side of the filter net 1, a bottom cap 22 having a first side mounted on a second side of the pattern plate 20, and a circuit board 21 mounted between the pattern plate 20 and the bottom cap 22 and having a plurality of light emitting members 210 (such as light emitting diodes).
The pattern plate 20 has various shapes so as to satisfy the different requirements of different users. The pattern plate 20 has a periphery formed with a plurality of through holes 201 aligning with the screw bores 10 of the filter net 1. The pattern plate 20 has a bottom formed with a plurality of mounting holes 202 for mounting the light emitting members 210 of the circuit board 21. The first side of the pattern plate 20 is formed with a plurality of substantially arc-shaped convex faces 203.
The bottom cap 22 has a periphery formed with a plurality of through holes 221 aligning with the through holes 201 of the pattern plate 20. The bottom cap 22 has a bottom formed with a groove 220 for mounting the circuit board 21. The bottom cap 22 has a shape and a size the same as that of the pattern plate 20.
The grille further comprises a reflective bonding paper 3 bonded on a second side of the bottom cap 22.
In assembly, the filter net 1 and the light emitting device 2 are combined by a plurality of locking screws 4 which are extended through the respective through holes 221 of the bottom cap 22 and the respective through holes 201 of the pattern plate 20 and screwed into the respective screw bores of the filter net 1. Thus, the filter net I and the light emitting device 2 are combined to form the grille as shown in Fig. 1.
As shown in Figs. 4 and 5 with reference to Figs. 1-3, when the filter net 1 of the grille is mounted on a car, the light emitting device 2 is energized to supply an electric power to the circuit board 21 so that the light emitting members 210 light. At this time, the convex faces 203 of the pattern plate 20 function as a refractive face to refract the light rays from the light emitting members 210 so that the light rays are refracted outward from the pattern plate 20 evenly and smoothly, thereby enhancing the outstanding appearance of the grille when the car is driven at the night. In addition, the light rays from the light emitting members 210 are completely reflected by the reflective bonding paper 3 bonded on the bottom cap 22, so that the light rays from the light emitting members 210 are completely emitted outward from the pattern plate 20, thereby enhancing the aesthetic quality of the grille. In addition, the filter net 1 is used to filter the air into the engine chamber, thereby providing an air filter effect.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
