Abstract

A bookmark 1 with a light sensor 2 which remains in the dark when the bookmark 1 is placed inside a book but is activated when the book is opened to trigger a speaker 3 in the bookmark 1 which relays a recorded message. Preferably the bookmark 1 can relay more than one message or song. The bookmark 1 may be used as a learning aid.

DESCRIPTION
My invention relates to a bookmark of the type which is used for marking a page in a book.
Bookmarks are well-known but apart from marking a page in a book offer no other function.
The bookmarks unique function is to relay a message(s) or song(s) through a speaker in the bookmark which is used as a learning aid.
Accordingly, this invention provides a bookmark with a light sensor that when triggered activates a speaker in the bookmark that relays a message. The light sensor is positioned on the bookmark where it would be out of the light when placed inside a book. The opening of the book would allow light on to the bookmark triggering the light sensor and activating the speaker that relays a recorded message(s).
Preferably the bookmark is made from card or plastic.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows a view of the front of the bookmark at an angle; FIGURE 2 shows a view of the front of the bookmark; FIGURE 3 shows a view of the back of the bookmark; FIGURE 4 shows the bookmark from a top view; FIGURE 5 shows the bookmark from a side view.
As shown in figure 1 the bookmark 1 has a light senor 2 and a speaker 3.
As shown in figure 2 a view of the front of bookmark I showing the light sensor 2 and the speaker 3. The light sensor 2 is positioned on the bookmark I where it would be out of the light when placed inside of a book.
As shown in figure 3 the back view of the bookmark 1.
As shown in figure 4 a top profile view of the bookmark 1.
As shown in figure 5 a side profile view of the bookmark 1.
The bookmark 1 contains a light sensor 2 and a speakr 3 as shown in figure 1. The light sensor 2 is positionedon the bookmark 1 where it would be out of the light when placed inside a book. The. opening of the book would allow light on to the light sensor 2 and would trigger the light sensor 2 to activate the speaker 3 to relay a message(s).

Claims (3)

1. A booknwk including a light sensor that is positioned on the bookmark where it would be out of the light when placed inside a book activates when the opening of the book allows light on to the bookmark triggering the light sensor that in turn activates a speaker in the bookmark to relaying a recorded message.
2. The bookmark as claimed in claim 1 can relay more than one message or song.
3. The bookmark as claimed in claim 1 and 2 can be used as a learning aid.
