Abstract
Inflatable infant vehicle seat can be deflated for compact storage when not in use. A valve 1 is provided to enable the seat to be inflated manually or by a compressor powered by a vehicle cigarette lighter. The seat may take the form of a booster seat alone (figure 2) for older children, or a booster seat with a backrest (figure 1) for younger, smaller children. The seat and occupant is secured by a conventional car seat belt which passes through slot 2 in the seat and/or around the waist underneath armrests 3.

Background
This invention relates to Inflatable Childs Safety Booster seat for use in a car.
This seat is for inflation and use on holiday in a hire car or relatives car where there is no other child booster seat available. It is inflatable and de-inflatable therefore can be folded compactly for packing into a suitcase or small bag.
Statement of Invention
To overcome the need to pack bulky children's booster seats for use on holiday in rented or borrowed cars. Or to have the expense of hiring children's car booster seats.
It is inflatable and secures to the rear car seat using the car's seat belts. It can be inflated by mouth by blowing into valve or by means of a small 12 volt air compressor/pump.
There are two variants one for Older Children and one for Younger Children as outlined below.
Advantages This invention is compact and easy to pack. It can be easily inflated and installed. It provides a safe seat for young children and can be de-inflated and stored when not used. It can be used when no rigid booster seats are available. It negates the need to hire rigid car booster seats.

Detailed description
This description relates to two designs for Inflatable child's car booster seat as shown in figure's land 2.
The construction is of plastic/rubber with reinforcement in panels to allow for correct formation when inflated.
Inflation is by blowing air into valve at rear of seat (fig 1.1, pointer 1 and figure 2.1 pointer 1) or by using small compressor which is powered by 12 volt cigarette lighter socket.
Figure 1 is for younger children for approximate weight of child 14-26 kg Figure 2 is for children approximate weight 24-3 5 kg The main purpose of these booster seats is to provide an easily transportable safe booster seat for use on holiday and negating the need to pack bulky pre formed solid booster seats. It is designed primarily for compact travel use.
The seat in figure 1 is for a larger type booster seat for younger children. The child is placed in the booster seat and the rear seatbelt is passed through the gap formed by inflatable panel (figure 1.2 pointer 2) at bottom of head restraint portion, at shoulder height. The seatbelt is passed through the annrest gap (figure 1.2 pointer 3) on the opposite side and clicked into seatbelt anchor. The inflatable booster seat has formed panels on each side of the rear section and head restraint to provide lateral stability for the child.
When not in use the inflatable booster seat is deflated and stored in carry bag.
Seat is inflated by means of valve at centre rear of seat base. (figure 2 pointer 3).
The Childs Inflatable car booster seat in Figure 2 is adaptation of the design in figure I and is intended for use by older/larger children approximate weight 24-3 5 kg. It is a basic inflatable booster seat base. The child is secured in the seat with the rear car seatbelt passed across the child and through the gap between the armrest and seat base (figure 2.2 pointer 2). When not in use the seat is deflated and stored in carry bag.

- Claims 1. An inflatable childs car booster seat for designed for easypacking, inflation and use on holiday or where no rigid formed booster seat is available.
- 2. An inflatable childs car booster seat for approximate weight of child 14-26 kg
- 3. An inflatable childs car booster seat for approximate weight of child 24-35 kg
