Description

Nail trimming cushion device Single finger impregnated lotion cushion
device for nail trimming I am making a new application following my conversation with Mr Nick Logan please can you transfer the fees from my first application 1) The problem: Chiropody is a skill which has to be studied. We can all attempt to cut or trim our nails with varying success but mistakes can be painful. The problem is not just accessibility for stout people, even for slim people it is the toughness of the nail.
Chemists sell lotions that can soften the nail and make it easier to cut. But one needs either frequent dabs or massaging the nail with the lotion for ever it seems.
The solution is to produce a small cap to fit and cover up and bind the nail like a glove. There should be a dressing of gauze cloth lining the walls of the cap. They should be impregnated with a lotion of the kind of which as mentioned above are already sold in shops. The difference is that this cap can be left on all night while the person sleeps. Next morning the nail will be soft and vulnerable to trimming making the trimming of the nail easy for even a stout person. The cap can be made of any material probably as used for a normal plaster with some tiny cavities to let in air. It will be lightly elastic to fit snugly. In side there would be gauze or some penetrable material I am aware of the following inventions: The multi purpose finger stall JP11157250. Difficulties for nails. We are not interested in protecting a wound the nail needs no protecting more important objection is there is no necessity for a bag or the use of ointment- this is messy and time consuming Patent number 5,770,583 seems to require ointment and looks like a normal plaster and needs ointment.
It is curious that the chiropodists are still in business My invention lies in its simplicity and efficiency.
No strap up,no bandage,no ointment or added dressing all messy would berequired The single finger glove would be made of plastic or woven material. It is lined with impregnated gauze or any material that can take impregnation with a fluid damp or dry impregnated into it. Any light lubrication would be valid to leave no mess when taken off. The glove like cushion would have an elasticity that would have the qualities of a glove so as to fit snugly on the toe or finger. Overnight or for a period for the effect to work probably night, so as to avoid bother the nail would soften and make it amenable to easy trimming
