Abstract

An apparatus and a method for reducing traffic congestion. The apparatus includes a transmitter located on a vehicle and a receiver located on a user. The transmitter is activated by a third party when the vehicle is causing an obstruction. The receiver decodes an encoded signal sent from the transmitter and communicates a message to the user. The user is thus made aware that the vehicle is causing an obstruction and hence can return to the vehicle and move it to aid in reducing congestion.
