Abstract

An electronic article surveillance (EAS) product detacher provided with an array of four magnets 1-4 arranged so as to be capable of detaching three types of EAS products. A key-lockable lid can cover the array and may be attached via a lanyard.

242603Q Uni EAS Product Detacher This invention relates to a detacher of
EAS products which includes four types of magnet arrays, mounted in a two part plastic housing with a slam lock lid which may be put anywhere convenient. This product is used in the retail industry.
The four types of magnet arrays detach different EAS products made by different companies. This product locates all four arrays on one convenient unit which is lockable by the operator with a one piece slam lock lid.
The object of this invention is to provide detaching of three different types of EAS products, in one product with one lock, rather than separate units.
Accordingly, this invention provides one unit housing four different types of EAS magnet arrays, housed in plastic mouldings, with a secure locking lid to prevent the units being used once locked.
The lid is securely attached to the detacher base by means of a lanyard to prevent loss.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying thawing in which:- FIGURE 1 shows an isometric view of the assembled Uni detacher FIGURE 2 is an isometric view showing the magnet arrays FIGURE 3 shows the lock in the slam lock lid As shown in Figure 2 the detacher consists of I a horizontal magnet array, 2 a vertical magnet array, 3 a high strength circular magnet array, 4 Alpha Array, 5 base moulding and 6 Top moulding.
As shown in Figure 3 the lock consists of 1 lock moulding 2 the lock which acts as a slam lock onto the assembled base. z

Claims (4)

1. A detacher that has 4 magnet arrays layed out in the shown configuration, which detaches 3 types of EAS products.
2. A detacher as claimed in claim I where the Lid/lock is attached by a slam lock and must be released with a key.
3. A detacher that has the slam lock attached by a lanyard.
4. A detacher substantially as herin described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
