Abstract

A carrying aid which in use receives the handles of at least one carrier bag comprises an elongate ellipsoidal body with a longitudinal channel 1 therein, the body having a dimpled 2 external surface. The carrying aid may be fabricated from medium density plastic.

DESCRIPTION.
PLASTIC CARRIER BAG HANDLE COMFORTER.
The invention connects to several plastic carrier bags and creates one
comfortable handle.
When picking up several plastic carrier bags it can be difficult to gather together the individual handles. Each time they are placed down and picked up this difficult process is repeated. When carrying the bags, the handles become increasingly uncomfortable as the thin handles cut into the palms of the hands.
The purpose of this invention is to cushion the cutting effect of the plastic carrier bag handles on the individuals hands and make picking up several bags at one time quicker and easier.
Accordingly the invention connects several plastic carrier bag handles to form one comfortable handle. The comforter is elliptical in shape and designed to fit comfortably into the palm of the hand. The comforters dimpled underside (2) provides additional grip. The plastic carrier bag handles are slid into a tubular channel (1) running across the top length of the comforter. The elasticity of the comforters construction material allows the plastic carrier bags to be slid in easily and gripped securely. The individual can then pick up the bags together quickly and easily. The connected plastic carrier bags can be placed down and the comforter will remain in position, the designs low centre of gravity ensures the comforter remains upright.
The comforter can be constructed from a medium density plastic, strong enough to ensure that the plastic carrier bags do not cut into it yet soft enough to be comfortable on the the hands. It can be produced in a range of colours.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the comforter.
Figure 2 is a plan view of the comforter.
Figure 3 is a section through the length of the comforter.
Figure 4 is a section across the width of the comforter.
As shown in figures 1-4 the comforter is elliptical in shape designed to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand.
Figure 2 shows the tubular channel (1) running the length of the topside. The elasticity of the comforters construction material allows the plastic carrier bags to be slid in easily and gripped securely.

Figure 3 shows the comforters low centre of gravity which ensures it remains upright when connected to several plastic carrier bags.
Figures 3 and 4 show the comforters dimpled underside (2) which provides additional grip.
