Description

DEVICE FOR SIGNALING A VEHICLE IN AN ACCIDENT THAT HAS
RECEIVED ASSISTANCE
DESCRIPTION
Device for signaling a vehicle in an accident that has received assistance.
Object of the invention The present invention relates to a device for signaling a vehicle in an accident that has received assistance.
Background of the invention
Currently, when a vehicle is involved in an incident or accident on the road, it can remain stationary on the hard shoulder or off the road for hours or days until it is picked up.
For this reason, other drivers do not know whether the accident or incident is recent and requires assistance, or whether it happened some time ago and assistance has been given and the occupants have been attended.
This leads to two undesirable effects that comprise, on the one hand, that some drivers stop their vehicles unnecessarily in order to provide assistance that is not required, which is a danger and a drawback, and on the other, the opposite effect: that other drivers do not stop because they assume that assistance has already been given, when rapid actions may be necessary and may even save lives. These drawbacks are overcome with the device of the invention.
Description of the invention
The device of the invention is optimally constituted to indicate that a vehicle that has been involved in an incident or accident has already received assistance, thus avoiding inconveniences for other drivers and helping to prevent indifference to these situations. In accordance with the invention, the device comprises an adhesive sheet of flexible material of an appropriate size, equipped on the opposite side to the adhesive substance with a waxed paper or similar that is removed on use.
On the opposite side, the portion has some easily visible graphics andlor colors that indicate that the vehicle has already received assistance, and that could be represented for example by the word "rescued" on a background of different bright colours.
Before using, the portion or portions are folded to occupy a small and reasonable space for storage in the vehicle, for example, kept in an envelope or bag. In the event of an incident, and when the rescue services have attended, either these services or the driver, peeling off the waxed paper, will stick the portions in highly visible sites of the chassis or windscreen to warn other drivers.
Brief description of the drawings.
Figure 1 shows a view of a device of the invention.
Figure 2 shows a view of the use of the device of the invention in a vehicle involved in an incident.
Description of a practical embodiment of the invention The device 1 of the invention comprises at least a strip or portion 2 of flexible material, on the reverse side of which 3 is a layer 4 of adhesive substance protected by a waxed paper 5 or similar material until the moment of use.
On the opposite side 6 it has a series of colors 7, and above all characters 8 that indicate that the vehicle has received assistance.
The portion or portions 2 are of a reasonable size so that they are easily visible on use. When a vehicle 9 has suffered an accident or has been attended, even though it hasn't been towed away, the waxed paper 4 just has to be removed and the portion or portions 2 stuck in visible places, for example, one the windscreen, where it adapts to the forms thanks to its flexibility.
In this way, other drivers on the road 10 who see the vehicle will know that it is now not necessary for them to stop or call the emergency services.
Thanks to its size, and for better storage in the vehicle of the portions 2, logically before using, these portions are folded along one or more creases 11, and placed inside an envelope 12 or bag.
With the nature of the invention described in sufficient detail, along with a practical embodiment thereof, it should be stated that the dispositions indicated above and represented in the attached figures can undergo changes in detail without altering the fundamental principle.
