Abstract

Tableware such as a child's feeding dish 1 with a magnetised base (5, fig 3) and a separate magnet 2 which attaches to the underside of a table 3. The separate magnet 2 sits on the underside of the table 3 directly beneath the dish 1 to prevent the dish from being lifted by a child. The magnetic base may be attached to any type of tableware such as a plate, bowl or lunchbox that may be made from breakable or non-breakable materials that may be dishwasher and microwave safe. To remove the dish from the table, the separate magnet should be removed from the table 3.

Description

1 2424357 Child's feeding bowl This invention relates to a child's feeding
dish.
Babies eventually get to a stage in their development when they insist on feeding themselves and quite often refuse any help offered. This can mean that more often or not the feeding dish and its contents end up on the floor or over the child's head. This can prove to be a stressful time for parents as especial whilst dining in restaurants and visiting friends and family.
To overcome this issue, the present invention proposes a feeding dish with a magnetic base and a separate magnetic device which will attach to the underside of the high chair, feeding table etc to hold the dish in place.
The magnets will hold the dish in place therefore preventing the dish from being picked up. This allows the child to continue to practise new skills in all social situations greatly reducing the time needed to clear up after meals.
The invention will now be described with reference to the drawings in which: Figure 1- Shows the feeding dish (1) on the feeding table (3) and the separate magnetic device (2) attached to the underside of the table.
Figure 2- Shows the magnetic disc (4) which is fitted into the toughened moulded plastic (2).
Figure 3 - Shows the magnet (5) attached to the base of the feeding dish (1).
A magnet is attached to the base of the dish (5). A magnetic disc (4) is fitted into toughened moulded plastic (2). This disc is attached to the underside of the feeding table directly underneath the bowl to prevent the dish from being lifted (see figure 1).
To move the dish simply remove the magnetic disc. The main body of the dish is to be made from dishwasher safe materials.
The different options available are: * Bowl with or without a lid.
* Plate with or without a lid.
* Compartmentalized bowl with or without lid * Compartmentalized plate with or without lid.
* Lunchbox with lid * Compartmentalized lunchbox with lid.
