Abstract

Metal cleaning compositions and their uses, for example for the cleaning of engines (especially on-line cleaning of gas turbines and turbo chargers). The compositions may comprise at least one surfactant selected from non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants; at least one terpene solvent; and at least one glycol. The compositions preferably include tar acid.
