Abstract

A jacket with a detachable pocket, which may be attached to the to the front or the rear of the garment, may be used to carry such a device as a lap-top computer. The pocket, pouch or bag is provided with a series of fasteners which link to a similarly arranged set of fasteners fixed to the apparel. The fastening devices may be in the form of zips or zip fasteners. In association with the fasteners on the jacket are a set of braces in the form of straps or bands which may be fastened around the pocket to offer extra support. The pocket may be formed from a padded fabric material, and may be compartmentalised.

Description

1. Title [0002] "A Wearing Apparel to Carry Objects"
2. Field of Invention
4] The present contraption falls under the category of a wearing apparel including those for the torso as well as those for the torso and both the arms. So the said wearing apparel can be any type of protective or fancy or fashionable outer covering including a jacket, a short coat, a top coat, a coat, a vest, armour for the torso, a flak jacket, a blazer, a cardigan, a mantle, a cape, a mackintosh, a coverall, an overall or any other type of similar clothing worn by human beings on the upper part of the body or the whole body including the torso that can be worn in all weather conditions during travel for all purposes and including work, pleasure, sport, adventure, travel on earth and into space.
3. The Prior Art
6] A wearing apparel for the upper part of the body that permits articles of daily use and other items required on travels to be stowed away is described in US patent No. US 2003/0188370 Al publication date Oct 9, 2003 by Hugh et al. This "wearing apparel comprises two front components that can be connected with each other, and an object of use that is preferably carried together (with) the wearing apparel. A slide-in aperture extends from the hem up into the arnthole and is arranged offset sideways on the front or back component in the area connecting the front components of the wearing apparel with the back component, on one or both sides of the wearing apparel. The object of use (is) carried together with the wearing apparel is equipped with a shoulder strap to be worn on the body." [0007] The cited invention in itself is good for the purposes it was intended. But the separate bag- like pouch to carry items for daily use doesn't make the said bag-like pouch an integral part of the jacket but an extraneous one which is to be carried on the body by means of a strap and then hidden in by pushing through a slide-in aperture and then zipping-up the opening of the said slide-in aperture.
8] Also there exists no such jacket or jacket-like contraption used as a clothing apparel that provides and includes a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories, or an object or objects in such a way that the object or objects become an integral part of the jacket.
9] Also there exists no such jacket that provides and includes a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories, an object, or objects in such a way that the laptop, the object or objects can be easily accessed and can be easily put back in place without completely undoing the jacket off the wearer's body.
0] Also there exists no such jacket that provides and includes a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories as an integral component of the jacket which can be snugly stowed away out of view and freeing the hands for activities other than carrying a laptop bag separately.
[001 1] Also there exists no such jacket that provides and includes a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories in such a way that the jacket not only provides protection for the wearer from rough weather but also provides protection for the laptop and its associated accessories and peripherals which have become an integral component of the jacket.
2] Also there exists no such jacket that provides and includes a means for carrying a laptop and its associated accessories and peripherals in such a way that there's not an uneven distribution of weight about the jacket wearer's spinal cord.
4. Statement of Invention
4] A wearing apparel for the torso and the arms of the human body that permits carriage of essential items and articles of daily use and of special purpose both fragile and non-fragile which can be held secure and held snug to the body such that the item becomes like an extension of the body but still part of the wearing apparel; the said item or article held secure in such a way that it eliminates carrying it separately with the hands and the carriage of the article or object in the jacket eliminates back and neck aches that are caused, due to an unequal distribution of weight about the apparel wearer's and the article carrier's spinal cord which would not be the case if the said means of the current contraption are provided to eliminate the unequal distribution of the weight of the object being carried; the said article or object being carried as part of the jacket held in a pouch which can be fastened to the apparel and there are provided means to hold the pouch close to the body well supported and secure, such that the said object that became an integral component of the jacket by becoming enclosed in the pouch can be carried by the apparel wearer to anywhere and in any weather condition.
5] 5. Advantages of the Current Contraption [0016] The current invention provides for a jacket or jacket-like contraption used as a clothing apparel the would provide and include means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories or an object or objects in such a way that the said laptop, said object and objects would become an integral part of the jacket.
7] The current invention provides for ajacket or an apparel that includes and provides a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories, an object or objects in such a way that the said laptop, object or objects can be easily accessed and can be easily put back in place without completely undoing the said jacket or apparel off the wearer's body.
8] The current invention provides for ajacket or an apparel that includes the means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories as an integral component of the said jacket or apparel by providing a means for the said laptop and its associated peripherals and accessories to be snugly stowed away out of view and frees the hands for activities other than carrying a laptop bag separately.
9] The current invention provides for ajacket or an apparel that includes a means for carrying a laptop along with its peripherals and accessories in such a way that the said jacket or apparel not only provides protection for the wearer from the rough weather but also provides protection for the said laptop and its associated peripherals and accessories, or object and objects which have become an integral component of the jacket.
0] The current invention provides for a jacket or an apparel that includes a means for carrying a laptop and its associated accessories and peripherals and object or objects in such a way that there's not an uneven distribution of weight about the said jacket or apparel wearer's spinal cord and thereby eliminating body aches associated with carrying laptop and the like on one's shoulders or back.
1] The current invention is described by way of reference to the drawings on pages 1, II and III at the end of this document.
2] 6. Description of the Current Contraption: figure 1 on Page 1 [0023] The current description refers to the jacket shown in the figure titled "Ambidextrous Laptop Jacket" in fig. 1 page I. The figure shows the inside of the rear of the jacket.
