Abstract
A beverage tray that allows the user to visually identify different beverages held on the beverage tray. The tray may be clearly marked with a picture, words or both to indicate where to place beverages with and without sugar on the tray allowing easy identification visually. The tray may also allow other beverages such as soup and water to be carried. The tray may be heat resistant and include handles. The tray may have a manual or electronic device to record the type and number of beverages ordered. The device may be used in the workplace where team members make drinks for their colleagues.
Description
BEVERAGE TRAY
The invention relates to a tray with sections clearly marked to group and separate beverages.
Trays are commonly used to carry beverages such as tea and coffee. Depending on personal tastes, some of the beverages will be with sugar and some will be without. When a number of beverages are carried on a tray it can become difficult to remember and is visually impossible to identify which of the beverages are with sugar and which are without. This can cause confusion and embarrassment to the server.
The main objective of this invention is to provide a beverage tray which acts as a solution to identify which beverages are with sugar and which are without.
Accordingly, this invention provides a beverage tray with clearly marked sections to provide easy visual identification of the beverages with and without sugar. A beverage with sugar would be placed on the 'with sugar' section of the tray and a beverage without sugar would be placed on the 'without sugar' section of the tray. This would eliminate any confusion and embarrassment caused to the server.
The beverage tray would be made of heat resistant material.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawing.
Figure 1 shows a bird's eye view of the tray. The tray may be of any size and can be of any practical shape e.g. square, rectangle or round.
1, 2 and 3 denote the sections of the tray. Sections 1 and 2 will be clearly marked with a picture, words or both to indicate where to place beverages with and without sugar. Section 3 will be clearly marked to hold other beverages that do not fall in to the 'with' and 'without sugar' categories (such as soup and water).
The beverage tray may have handles 4 to enable ease of carrying.
As a further development, the beverage tray may include a facility to manually or electronically record the type and number of beverages ordered.
The beverage tray will find superior use in an office / work place type of environment where team members take it in turn to get beverages for their team from drinks machines.
