Abstract
A clothing indicator consists of a thermometer (1) with images of different attire (2) printed onto its surface. The printed surface of the thermometer may be stuck onto the exterior surface of a window (fig 2, ref 5) by virtue of being provided with a layer of adhesive. The temperature detected outside is indicated to a user on the inside by the thermometer (1). The printed images (2) are arranged such that the "ideal" clothing to be worn, for the detected temperature, is indicated to the user.
Description
Clothing indicator This invention relates to a device that indicates what
you should ideally wear.
When we are preparing to go outside a decision we all have to make before we actually step outside is, what should we wear? This can be a tricky decision as the temperature can be unpredictable. Not dressing accordingly can have undesirable consequences such as catching a cold, this is particularly important with young or senior people. Furthermore children generally rely on their parent/carer to dress them.
To overcome these problems the present invention proposes a thermometer with images printed onto it of different clothing that should ideally be worn at the required temperature leveL This invention indicates to the user inside what he/she should wear according to the temperature outside. The invention is a thermometer that is stuck onto the outer surthce of a window.
The highlighting of the ideal clothing will teach children to be selfsufficient and not rely on their parent/carer to dress them. Therefore children will dress more efficiently as there will be no need for the child to get dressed, be told he/she is not dressed appropriately, then undress and get changed again.
This invention will act as a great precaution to prevent catching colds, eliminating the need for inconveniencing someone to look after the person who is ill.
Preferably this invention will be weatherproof withstanding all weather conditions.
The surtlice with the images will be stuck to the exterior surface of the window. The images will ideally be illustrations or photographs of clothing that could also be modelled by people or characters.
An example of the invention can be seen by referring to the drawings. The drawings will also be used to describe the invention in more detail.
Figure 1 shows a typical example of a clothing indicator, Figure 2 shows how a clothing indicator would most likely look stuck to a window from the outside, Figure 3 shows how a clothing indicator would most likely look stuck to a window from the inside.
In figure 1, images of different attire worn at different temperature intervals 2 are printed onto a thin thermometer 1.
The surface in figure 1 like a sticker is stuck onto the clear glass exterior surface of a window 5 like in figure 2.
The thin thermometer indicator 3 indicates the temperature therefore highlighting the correct clothing that should be worn according to the temperature outside. The reading can be read by looking at the invention from the interior side of the glass 6 like in figure 3.
Claims (2)
- Claims 1. A thermometer with images printed on it of different clothingthat should ideally be worn at the required temperature level 2. A thermometer with images according to claim 1, are correct attire that should be worn at those temperatures outside which are indicated by the thermometer.3. A thermometer with images according to any of the claims, has an adhesive on the surface which is then stuck onto the exterior surface of a window.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 4.Claims 1. A thermometer with images printed on it of various clothing that should ideally be worn for the appropriate temperature outside, the thermometer indicating to the user whilst the user is indoors the temperature outside therefore highlighting the correct clothing that he/she should be wearing when outside.
- 2. A thermometer with images according to claim 1, is stuck on to the exterior surface of a window.
