Abstract

The alarm is activated by a bow shaped pull handle attached to the door 1) from the inside 2) with a built in full length trigger switch connected to the internal unit via the bow handle 3) The internal unit 4) is fitted to inside the door by screws with a visible light if required through a hole in the door 5). The internal unit is in the shape of a moulded container enclosing an alarm unit 6) and a keyed switch 7) a relay to continue the alarm sounder once activated 8) electronic circuit board 9) and the power supply battery 10) and cable entrys for the trigger swith 11). The bow type handle can be formed in a 'soft feel' plastic and covered in a waterproof sleeve. The whole unit could be fitted by the average handyman with no connection to the electricity mains supply. It provides a warning sound and light the moment the intruder attempts to open the door by the normal method of pulling the door handle. The alarm is activated at this point and the sounder is unreached by the intruder. The electronic unit is indoors and out of the weather and can be powered by long life or rechargeable batterys. A minimum of electronics is required for this unit to aid reliablility.

Shed and Garage Alarm I Doc The alarm handle is a pull type bow shape with an inside set trigger type switch which is attached to the door from the inside and is connected to the main unit via a wire fed down the handle and passing through the door to the main alarm unit The main unit is fitted to the inside of the door by screws in a convenient position.

The inside unit consists of an alarm sounder a keyed switch a battery to power the system and all electronics required enclosed Enclosed in the plastic box showing through a hole in the door a low voltage light to show the alarm has been triggered via the door handle switch.
