Abstract

A free standing martial arts dummy comprises a cylindrical base E having an outer surface covered with a padding material, an elongate member D supported by the base E and extending substantially vertically above the base E, at least one arm C extending from the elongate member D and at least one punching pad A mounted on the front of the elongate member D. A punching pad B may be mounted to the rear of the elongate member D. The dummy allows the user to execute martial arts techniques from any position around the dummy. The base being surrounded in padding material allows the user to also practice kicking techniques directed to the base of the dummy.

Description

DISCRIPTION
FREE STYLE MARTIAL ARTS DUMMY
According to the present invention there is provided a free standing martial arts dummy comprising of three punching pads _ which are attached to the front face of the main structure D. There are four straps, two at either side of the punching pads _ to attach then to the main structure D. The punching are 25cm wide and 28cm long.
Various sizes and amounts of punching pads can be attached to the main structure D. The rear face of the main structure D is completely covered and measures at 24cm wide and 1 02cm in length. This ultimately allows a martial artist to fully express him or her self and to use different techniques weather it be mixing Wing Chun with Boxing or just to have the choice available to train on a device which allows you to execute various amounts of punches at all angels and to improve their training techniques on a Free Style Martial Arts Dummy. The main structure D is 26cm wide and 6ft in length. The main structure D of the martial arts dummy has been inserted vertically straight through the padded cylindrical base E. At the bottom of the padded cylindrical base _ the main structure D meets a carefully placed piece of wood F which has a slot right in the centre of it which meets the main structure D to keep it in place and up right. The main structure is 6ft in length and 27cm wide. The piece of wood is 26cm wide and 52cm in length and is attached at the centre of the cylindrical base E, horizontally with gapes still remaining at either sides, two sand bags weighing at 20kg each are then carefully placed at those remaining gapes to give the whole martial arts dummy support at the moment of impact from the martial artist's techniques. The main structure D can vary in height and thickness. The shape of the main structure D can vary e.g. cylinder or others. There are three wooden hands C two of which have been inserted below the first punching pads A, the third wooden hand C has inserted below the second punching pads. There can be various sizes and amounts of hands which can be inserted in the main structure of the martial arts dummy _. The padded cylindrical base E is very important because of it being padded a martial artist can execute a variety of kicks from all angels surrounding the dummy's padded cylindrical base, because of that this may be the only way in which a martial artist can fully execute a variety of kicks and to honest express him or her self, which mite not be available on a conventional dummy. The padded cylindrical base is 65cm wide and 71cm in length. '-l'he padded cylindrical base E can wary from size and height.

According to the present Invention there is provided a free standing martial arts dummy comprising a elongate support member haveing a planen front and rear face, three arms emending, from the front face of the support member, three punching pads are mounted to the front face of the support mender The rear face of the support the support is completely paced. The support member as a completely paced cylindrical base at the bottume.

    martial arts dummy comprising: a cylindrical base having an outer surface covered with a padding material an enlongate member supported by the base and extending substantially vertically above the base; at least one arm extending substantially perpendicularly from the elongate member; and at least one punching pad mountedon the elongate member.
