Abstract

A skin exfoliating and softening composition, comprising 5-70% by weight sodium polyacrylate powder dispersed in a base oil. The base oil may be food grade, synthetic, natural or mineral, with added fragrances, anti-settling agents, aromatherapy oils and/or dyes. After rubbing the composition on the skin for a short time, the treated area is placed under running water or sprayed, which causes the sodium polyacrylate powder to turn into a gel and assist the absorption of the base oil and moisture by the skin.
