Abstract

A couch roll which may be used on a treatment couch, bed or table 4 consists of a substrate impregnated, or with a surface layer 1 of a non-stick substance. It may contain one or several layers, preferably with perforations 3. The substrate may have a gripped/ abrasive underside or may be embossed. The non-stick substance may be oil, talc, wax or silicone.

Description

COUCH ROLL
This invention relates to couch roll; the type used in Beauty Therapy, Medical Practices, Hospitals, Complementary Therapy Clinics, Family Planning Clinics, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Veterinary Surgeons and practically any therapy that uses a treatment couch, bed or a table.
Currently the product available on the market is a couch roll in paper form, usually in a 2 or 3 ply sheet and can also be embossed.
Couch roll is commonly used but suffers from the disadvantage that the paper often get stuck to the peoples' bodies, especially during waxing when the client has to turn over.
An object ol' this invention is to provide a substrate for the use on couches that prevents itself from sticking to the body.
Accordingly this invention will provide a non-stick substrate impregnated with oil, talc, wax, silicone or any other substance to create a nonstick surface. This may be contained in one or all of the layers, possibly with an underside that grips to the couch.
Preferably the couch roll will be made of paper, but instead could be made from any other fabric, material or fibre.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows a side view ofthc whole couch roll; FIGURE 2 is the couch roll unrolled. it may have a non-stick layer 1 or all be non- stick and/or have an abrasive underside 2 for gripping; FIGIJRI42 3 shows the couch roll with perforations 3 on top of a couch 4; As referred to in to in Figure 2 the substrate will consist of a paper, fibre, material or any other substrate, possibly with or without perforations to enable easy tearing as shown in Figure 3 (3).
As shown in Figure 2 the couch roll may be impregnated with a non-stick substance, possibly an oil, powder, wax, silicone or any other non-stick substance.
The non-stick substance may be applied in many ways, including soaking, spraying or by the use of a specialized substrate.
It may consist of one or several layers. 'I'he couch roll may have a slightly abrasive underside to ensure that the couch roll stays in place on the couch, bed or table.

Claims (4)

1. A substrate impregnated, or with a surface coating to create a nonstick surface to be used on treatment couches.
2. A non-stick substrate to be used on treatment couches as claimed in Claim 1 that consists oi one or several layers, possibly with perforations.
3. A non-stick substrate to be used on treatment couches as claimed in Claim I that may be embossed.
4. A non-stick substrate to be used on treatment couches as claimed in Claim 1 that may have an abrasive or gripped underside.
