Abstract
A clothes horse comprises two support stands (40) each including a main body (41) having a mediate portion formed with an enlarged mounting portion (411) having a top face formed with a vertical insertion hole (412) and a side face formed with a transverse insertion hole (413). Each of the support stands (40) therefore has a smaller volume, facilitating easier package, storage and transportation of the clothes horse. To assemble the clothes horse a bottom rod 50 is inserted into the transverse hole 412 and one of two support rods 60 is inserted into the vertical hole 412. A hanger rod extends between the two support rods [see figure 1].

CLOTHES HORSE
The present invention relates to a clothes horse, and more particularly to a clothes horse having improved support stands.
A conventional clothes horse in accordance with the prior art shown in Fig. 4 comprises two support stands 10, a bottom rod 30 mounted between the two support stands 10, two telescopic support rods 20 each mounted on a respective one of the two support stands 10, and a hanger rod (not shown) mounted between the two support rods 20. Each of the two support stands 10 includes a main body I I, and two casters 12 mounted on two ends of the main 0 body I 1. The main body I I of each of the two support stands 10 has a mediate portion having a top face formed with an insertion hole 111 for mounting the respective support rod 20 and a side face provided with a protruding coupling 112 for mounting the bottom rod 30.
However, the coupling 112 protrudes outward from the main body 11 l 5 of each of the two support stands 10, so that each of the support stands 10 has a larger volume, thereby causing inconvenience in package, storage and transportation of the conventional clothes horse. In addition, each of the support stands 10 has a larger volume, thereby increasing costs of package and transportation of the conventional clothes horse.
Another conventional clothes horse in accordance with the prior art shown in Fig. 5 comprises two support stands 10', a bottom rod 30' mounted between the two support stands 10', two telescopic support rods 20' each mounted on a respective one of the two support stands 10', and a hanger rod (not shown) mounted between the two support rods 20'. Each of the two support stands 10' includes a main body 11', and two casters 12' mounted on two ends of the main body l 1'. The main body 11' of each of the two support stands 10' has a mediate portion having a top face and a side face each provided with a protruding coupling 1 13' for mounting an end cap 1 14'that is mounted on the respective support rod 20'and the bottom rod 30'.
However, the couplings 113' protrude outward from the main body 11 ' of each of the two support stands 10', so that each of the support stands 1 0' 0 has a larger volume, thereby causing inconvenience in package, storage and transportation of the conventional clothes horse. In addition, each of the support stands 10' has a larger volume, thereby increasing costs of package and transportation of the conventional clothes horse.
In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a clothes horse, comprising two support stands, a bottom rod mounted between the two support stands, two telescopic support rods each mounted on a respective one of the two support stands, and a hanger rod mounted between the two support rods, wherein: each of the two support stands includes a main body having a mediate portion formed with an enlarged longitudinal mounting portion having a top face formed with a longitudinal insertion recess and a side face formed with a transverse insertion recess.
The primary objective ofthe present invention is to provide a clothes horse, wherein each of the support stands is formed with a hidden longitudinal insertion recess and a hidden transverse insertion recess without provision of any protruding part' so that each of the support stands has a smaller volume, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the clothes horse.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes horse, wherein each of the support stands has a smaller volume, thereby decreasing costs of package and transportation of the clothes horse.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes horse, wherein the support stands are assembled with the support rods and the bottom rod easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user assembling the clothes horse.
Further benefits and advantages ofthe present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings: Fig. 1 is perspective view of a clothes horse in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a partially exploded perspective view ofthe clothes horse as 2() shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a plan cross-sectional assembly view of the clothes horse as shown in Fig. 2; Fig. 4 is a partially exploded perspective view of a conventional clothes horse in accordance with the prior art; and Fig. 5 is a partially exploded perspective view of another conventional clothes horse in accordance with the prior art.
Referring to the drawings and initially to Fig. 1, a clothes horse in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises two support stands 40, a bottom rod 50 mounted between the two support stands 40, two telescopic support rods 60 each mounted on a respective one of the two support stands 40, and a hanger rod 70 mounted between the two 0 support rods 60.
Referring to Figs. 2 and 3 with reference to Fig. 1, each of the two support stands 40 includes a main body 41, and two casters 42 mounted on two ends of the main body 41. The main body 41 of each of the two support stands is made of plastic material and has a dual-arch shaped profile.
The main body 41 of each of the two support stands 40 has a mediate portion formed with an enlarged longitudinal mounting portion 411 having a top face formed with a longitudinal insertion recess 412 and a side face formed with a transverse insertion recess 413. The transverse insertion recess 413 of the main body 41 of each of the two support stands 40 is spaced from and located under the longitudinal insertion recess 412.
Each of the two telescopic support rods 60 is made of metallic material and inserted into and closely fitted in the longitudinal insertion recess 412 of a respective one of the two support stands 40.
The bottom rod 50 is made of metallic material and has two ends each inserted into and closely fitted in the transverse insertion recess 413 of a respective one of the two support stands 40.
Accordingly, each of the support stands 40 is formed with a hidden longitudinal insertion recess 412 and a hidden transverse insertion recess 413 without provision of any protruding part, so that each of the support stands 40 has a smaller volume, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the clothes horse. In addition, each of the support stands 40 has a smaller volume, thereby decreasing costs of package and transportation of the clothes horse. Further, the support stands 40 are assembled with the support rods 60 and the bottom rod 50 easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user assembling the clothes horse.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention. s
