Abstract

A device which can be attached to any surface using screws/screws and plugs to form a secure straight and level base to start work off. e.g When tiling, fitting kitchen units, bath installations etc etc... The device has a built in spirit level vial, clamping devices and variable height screw slots,so that the desired level can be achieved.

Description

Page 1 The Leveiease Being in the tiling/bathroom and kitchen fittmg
business I have always encountered Problems concerning a straight level edge to tile on,fix kitchen wall/worktops/base Units and the construction of bath frames.
Normal procedure is to cut storms wood batons to the length of each wall and screw them to the walls using rawl plugsland screws. Stage
The first baton is always the easiest to fix to the wall as you would hold the baton against the wall, roughly find the centre of the baton and using a masonary drill bit drill a hole straight through the baton into the wall.
Stage 2 Insert a screw and rawl plug into the pre drilled hole in the baton and using a hammer tap it through into the wall and tighten the screw.
Stage 4 Rest a spirit level on the baton you have j ust secured and using a hammer lightly tap the baton at each end until the level shows that it is perfectly straight.
Stage 5 Making sure that the baton is secure drill through the baton into the wall and insert screws and rawl plugs, tap these through the baton into the wall using a hammer and tighten screws while checking with a level that your baton is still completely level. Stage
Fixing the rest of the batons now becomes a problem as you not only have to repeat stages one to five, you will also have to make sure that every baton makes level in every corner.
Page 2 E:xample 1) Man A has to hold the wood baton leve] and secure.
2) Man A also has to keep hold of the spirit level which Is resting on top of the baton 3) Man A has to make sure mat the batons meet perfectly in Sacker so Mat all batons are at the correct heght,f this stage is not done properly your wall tiles will not be level when you are ready to start tiling etc. 4) Man B has to drill a minimum of X4 holes through each baton and wall.
Page 3 Using the Le-iase Stage 1 Using "The Levelease" all you have to do is cut the wood batons to size, drill two holes per wall using a masonary drill bit. (holes do not have to be level but must be at the set distance apart). Insert rawl plugs into the wall, nsert screws with metal washers and place "The Levelease" into place and lightly tighten the screws,Once you have checked the level using the built in spirit level fully tighten the screws and place the baton into "The Levelease" and tighten the two clamps to hold the baton in place Stage 2 Repeat stage one for all existing batons to be fixed, but before tightening "The Levelease" into place, lnsert the wood baton, tighten the clamps to hold it secure, make sure that the built in spirit level is showing level and that your wood baton is level in both miners win em bate Page 4 Kitchen fitting and Bath Frames Whenever a level is needed for kitchen units the same procedure is applied as on page three,Where as for a bath frame construction the wood batons themselves will have to be secured to the wall. This is very easily done as you follow stages one and two on page three but after you have clamped the batons into place using "The Levelease" you will have to dill through the batons into the wall, insert rawl pings and screws, tighten and simply unscrew the clamps on "The Levelease" ,remove the screws holding "The Levelease"in place and take "The Levelease" away.
